"Since when are you interested in learning Spanish?"

I almost jump at the sound of Kevin's voice when it comes out of nowhere. He is leaning over me, observing me as I was searching up Spanish classes on my laptop on the kitchen table. Regaining my composure, I turn my head towards him. "Well, I found interest in the Spanish culture lately."

Which was totally true.

He raises a brow, his eyes remaining on my laptop screen. "Since when?"

I set my gaze back onto my research before answering, "Oh you know, for a while now."

Since Issac.

He pauses, with his eyes glued to the screen. It's like he's thinking whether to believe it or not. He then stops leaning over me, and fixes his eyes on me now.

"You sure it's not because of your friend?" He asks, pronouncing 'friend' with a click on his tongue.

Why do you care now?

"Well, I don't know. Maybe he just got me curious on  Spanish culture and language." I state, setting my gaze back to the screen. I don't see why I need to explain anything, since obviously he doesn't really pay attention anyway.

"Hm, still don't like him"

I roll my eyes at his stupidity. "Doesn't matter. He's a good person."

"Whatever" he says, before answering his now ringing phone. "Hello? Ah yes...." his voice drags off into the hallway. Once again, just like everyday, he answers his phone and leaves me. It happens all the time, In middle of conversations, any time, and anywhere. That's just the way he is. He's drops me in seconds, in order to get his phone call.

I feel a sudden vibration in my pocket, which I swiftly take out my phone and read my text. It's from Issac.

-Reina, how about a movie night with Matias and Danny?

I automatically smile at the text, especially the thought of Mattathias and Danny. They've been coming along with Issac to my job to get coffee, every morning. Might I say, they always seem to lift up my spirit and make me look forward to going to work the next day. I've been warming up to Danny's friendly, exaggerative, and energetic personality. As well as Matt's unenthusiastic, carefree, and friendly (in his way) attitude. They are pretty entertaining too.

-Sure, I would love to :)

About a minute later, he texts back.

-Great, can't wait :D

I smile at the text. Right as I put my phone away, I see a hand reach out and close my laptop. My brows furrow in annoyance as I look up at Kevin, who shut it down.

"We're going to have a dinner tonight with my business partners" He says, sitting on the arm of the couch, next to me.

"Tonight?" I ask.

"Mhm"

I shake my head. "I'm sorry, but I can't."

"Why not?"

I sigh, turning my body to face him. "Because I already have plans"

He narrows his eyes and leans closer to my face. "Let me guess, Issac?"

When I simply nod, he rolls his eyes and sucks his teeth. "That can wait. This is more important"

I let out a long deep breath and just stare at him. "You're things are always more important, eh?" I ask, lowly.

He sighs, and strokes my cheek. "Of course not, it's just this is more necessary"

Necessary my ass.
