Axel P.O.V.
Kora stared at me with wide eyes and there was silence all around. I wanted to break the silence, but I couldn't think of what to say. Kora opened her mouth as if she was about to say something then closed it again. After a few more minutes of this I rolled my eyes, bored of the awkward silence.
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I have a stray keyblader to rescue." I waved lazily and began to walk away.
"And how do you plan to do that exactly?" Riku asked.
"I'll find a way." I answered without stopping.
"I thought you said Demyx and Larxene would rescue her." Kora asked.
I stopped walking and looked at her over my shoulder. I raised an eyebrow. "You really think that Demyx and Larxene can do a mission like that together?" Kora just looked down at the ground in response.
"Well, I sure as heck can't show my face in the Organization again so I'm going to find someone to go there for me. I have a certain girl in mind." With that I set off purposefully through the streets of Hollow Bastion.
I had met her a few years ago when I was here. She had been cornered by heartless and she just looked so scared and helpless that I had felt compelled to save her. After I had defeated the heartless she told me that one day she'd repay me for it. Now it was time for her to pay up.
As I walked, a light rain began to fall. I put up my hood and kept walking, looking down in order to keep my face dry.
Suddenly there was a screech above me. I looked up in time to see a black-cloaked figure, dropping down from the roof of one of the houses that towered over me. I dodge rolled out of the way, summoning my chackrams in the process. I whipped around, ready to attack the mysterious adversary, but the person had frozen and was staring at my chackrams.
"A-Axel? Is that you?" they asked.
"Depends. Who's asking?" I countered, eyeing the person suspiciously.
The person pulled down the hood of her cloak and I immediately recognized her. She had long black hair and bright red eyes.
"Corrine. Just the girl I was looking for." I said, pulling down my own hood.
"You were looking for me? Why?" She asked, tilting her head.
"I believe you owe me a favor." I said, crossing my arms.
"Yeah. From the day you saved me. I take it you want me to repay you now?"
"Yes. I have a very important mission and I was hoping you could help me out."
"What is it?"
"A friend of mine was captured by the Organization. I need you to infiltrate the Organization and help her escape."
"I don't know... that sounds like a pretty big mission..." She said with mock uncertainty.
I put my hands on my hips. "But don't you remember what you said to me that day that I saved your life? Quote, "If there's ever anything I can do for you, anything at all, just come find me here and I'll do it!"."
Corrine sighed and rolled her eyes. "Alright, alright... But under one condition!"
I raised an eyebrow.
"I'll only do it if my friend Kara can come."
I sighed inwardly, glad that she hadn't requested something ridiculous like ten thousand munny or something. "Alright, but I would prefer to meet this person first."
