It's finally Friday meaning I don't have work tomorrow. I finally get a day to relax and be alone.
imzachheron: are you still gonna come over tomorrow ?
It's like he was reading my damn mind.
I completely forgot about having to go to their house this weekend.
I lean on the counter and put my head down since there's no customers.
Thomas comes next to me leaning with his forearms on the counter.
"Are you bored" he asks
"very much"
"cool" he says getting up and walking away
I don't question it and close my eyes still with my head down.
I hear the door open.
"Hi welcome to Dominos Pizza, wha-" I start to say as I'm standing up straight. I stop seeing the person in front of me.
"Hello" says Zach standing in front of the counter with a smile as the other boys are walking through the doorway. "You didn't answer my text so I came to see if you didn't die"
"Of course i didn't die. What are you thinking"
"Hi Kristen" all the boys say
"Hey" i say looking over at them to find Daniel looking at me and smiling
"What are you doing here?" I ask bringing my attention towards Zach
"I thought yo-"
"Give me a reasonable answer" i interrupt
"Ok fine I wanted to come see you"
"You got a crush" I tease
"What-no um i was just gonna um we were just in the area so I wanted to come talk" he scratches his neck
"Sure bud" says Corbyn looking up at the board with all the pizza toppings and types of pizzas they could get. "So we would like a large cheese pizza please" Corbyn says
"So you're coming over later" asks Corbyn I see Daniel look up from his phone behind Corbyn and he brings his attention to me.
"Yeah" i say
"Cool we wanna show you something" he smiles handing me his money
"Do you consider us your friends" Jonah asks
I stay quiet
"She says it's complicated" Zach says
"Can I just ask one question about it" Zach asks. I nod.
"Is it because you don't like us?"
"No that's- no it doesn't have to do anything with you guys" I shake my head. "I'll tell you eventually. If I ever completely warm up to you"
They all let out a sigh of relief.
"Good cause we thought we did something wrong" Jack sighs
"Of course not. I barely know you guys how could you have done something wrong already" I say handing Zach their pizza.
"Good, so we'll see you tonight?" Zach asks
"Yup" i say
"Bye Kristennn" they all say walking out the door.
Once I see them all leave I go back to the position I was in.
Thomas comes back and leans over the counter like before.
"That was weird" he says
"What?" I asked
"You seemed kinda nicer than usual when they walked in" he said
"Huh?"
"You seemed different" he started "when you were talking to them" he adds "it's like you put your guard down a little"
"Welp don't expect it to happen again" I say sighing
"I also saw the way Daniel looked at you" he adds
I stay quiet, annoyed.
"They deserve a chance" he says before walking away
A few hours pass and it's my time to leave.
I head to my apartment to change my clothes into some black leggings, a black hoodie and some white slip on vans and start heading to their house.
At a red light I pull out my phone and text Zach

The light turns green and I continue driving. I open the sunroof and enjoy the warm arm for once.
