Jack sat down on a bench, his vision so blurred, he could barely make out anything around him, a pavement, one he'd been walking on, a lamppost with a light so bright, it almost blinded him, cars obnoxiously driving past without a care in the world for anyone. It was as if his head was spinning, and yet looked as if the world was instead. Colours walked past him, greens... blues, bright against the darkest of backgrounds, yet dulled by the streetlight.
Standing up, his legs were like jelly, he could barely concentrate, think on his feet, all he could think about was the pain, the wound trying to close, yet had barely begun to heal, the traces of silver acted a preventative, still burning his wound, creating a fresh wound for his body to heal.
He lay down on the dirty bench, closing his eyes as he began to accept his fate. His brother, his sister-in-law, every hunter he knew wanted him dead, and he was in no fit state to fight them off, the silver making him much too weak to even try to fight back. It would be an easy killing, like snapping a toothpick and if death came for him, he wouldn't refuse to go, or attempt to bargain for life, he'd let death take him, wherever he ended up.
Pain radiated through his body, but he saw no way out of it, no way to fight that which he had become, and yet no way to feed with his lack of strength, any victim would easily fend him off before he had a chance to bite them, to taste the blood he desperately needed. Finally, he could see everything through the monster's eyes, his own eyes... their eyes, eyes they shared along with the curse they shared.
"Is he alive?" a man asked as he approached Jack.
"Turned fully, seems he survived a hunter's attack, unusual. Give him your coat, we'll take him with us," a young woman stated, her voice soft, subtle, calming as if she were singing a lullaby, an angelic softness that he welcomed.
They took his weight, forcing him to walk. Jack could barely make anything out, just the zebra crossings, the hand with a small golden ring, a symbol he could barely see and a woman with waves of ebony silk, skin like a mocha.
"Get him upstairs and get him a drink," the woman ordered quietly.
