Chapter 36

*Hayes POV*

I woke up in a black room. I don't know where I am.

I looked around, nothing. Just black. I tried to walk, but my legs were tied, along with my arms.

I heard foot steps, and a door opened. Two guys, around Cameron's age, stepped in.

"Well hi." One guy said.

He had brown hair, and was really tall. He had jeans on and a black sweatshirt.

He laughed and walked over to me. I tried to go back but I couldn't.

He looked in my eyes, and probably noticed fear. He shook his head.

"Wh-o-o a-are you-u?" I stuttered.

"My names Jacob." He said and stood up.

The other guy came over and leaned down by me and laughed.

"Don't be scared... Babysitter." He said.

He stood up. There was a little light that shined on him. He had tattoos everywhere.

I looked at him straight in the eyes, "Get me out of here." I said.

He laughed, "Why do you think we would do that?" He said.

I don't even know why I asked him that because I knew he would say something like that.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Sam." He said.

"Now, what where we going to do Jacob?" Sam asked him.

"Oh that's right." He said and smirked.

He took out a bat.

"Shit." I thought.

He handed it to Sam and he walked closer to me. He swung it and it hit me on the side of my face.

"Ahh!" I screamed.

"Hit him again." Jacob said.

He hit me right in the gut.

"Ahhhh!" I screamed.

"Again." Jacob said.

I bent over and he hit me again on my arm.

"Ahh stop!" I screamed.

"My turn." Jacob said.

Sam handed over the bat to Jacob.

He hit me right in the shoulder and I heard a snap.

"Ah." I said.

Everything was starting to go black.

"No- sto-o-p p-p-please." I said, but then everything turned black.

*Cameron's POV*

"I'll stay here, you guys go." Emily said.

I looked at her and nodded.

Everyone went out of the door and scrambled down the hallway.

*Emily's POV*

I sat in the room all by myself, and I heard footsteps coming down the hallway, I looked and saw Aaron.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." He said and smiled.

I looked at Megan and she was still asleep.

"I decided you probably need someone to stay with until they come back. So I came." He said.

I smiled, "Thank you."

He sat down in the chair next to me.

"We never really talk, so, tell me about yourself?"

"Well, my name is Aaron Carpenter, I'm wearing my shirt-"

"I already know that." I said and giggled.

He smiled. Wow. That smile is amazing. His teeth are perfect.

I smiled back. We just looked at each other for a while.

We started leaning in, and we kissed.

I looked at him, and we both smiled.

I've never really felt that way before. Not even about Nash. Wait. Nash. What even is he to me? He never asked me out. So I guess that was okay. No, it was amazing.

I looked at my feet. This was really awkward.

"Well, I'm going to get something to drink, do you want anything?" Aaron asked breaking the silence.

"Uh sure! I'll just have a water, thank you." I said and smiled.

He smiled again, "No problem." He said.

I felt my cheeks get hot. He walked out of the room. I smiled, I've never really felt this way before. Never in my life.

I looked at Megan and she was still asleep.

I really wanted to just wake her up but it's not like that.

Just imagine what my life would be like without her. Wow. I would even be in California with everyone. I'm so thankful for her at this moment.

Do you ever get that feeling that you just love life so much and you're just so happy?

Because I'm kinda feeling that. If only Megan wasn't hurt. I hope she's okay.

Aaron came back in the room with two waters.

He handed me one, "Thank you Aaron." I said.

"Welcome." He said and smiled.

Gosh I love that smile. I laid my head back and Aaron looked at me. We scooted closer and I laid my head on my shoulder.

"What even time is it?" I asked.

"Five in the morning." He said.

"Wow" I said.

"I'll watch out for Megan, just sleep. Right here." He said.

I smiled, "Thank you."

"Goodnight Emily."

"Goodnight Aaron."

I then fell asleep on Aaron's shoulder.
