Chapter 41

I was in the hospital, sitting next to Hayes. Hoping, he'll wake up soon.

Nash was on one side of him and I was on the other. Cam was behind me, resting his hand on my shoulder. We all stood there in silence.

"Do you want to take turns talking to Hayes in private?" Cameron asked.

"Yeah." Nash said, "I'll go first."

We all left the room exept Nash. A tear streamed down my face.

I want Hayes to come back. I miss him already, I never thought this would happen. And I know it's all because of me.

*Nash's POV*

I went up to Hayes.

"Hey buddy. I hope you wake up soon. I miss you a lot. I don't really know what to say. If you can hear me, I love you. So much. "

Tears streamed down my face. I looked at him and a tear was going down his face.

Hayes.

I stayed a little longer. Then, I stood up, walked to the door and went back in the hall.

"Megan, your turn." I said.

"Okay." She said and stood up.

*Megan's POV*

I opened the door to the room, and walked in. I went up to Hayes and looked at him.

"Hi Hayes, it's Megan. I don't really know what to say. I realy miss you. I dont know how you feel and what you want to say. You know, if you can hear me. But remember that you can tell me anything. I miss you. I know I already said that but I do. A lot." I said.

I started crying.

I miss him so much.

"I think Cameron's going to come and talk to you. I hope you'll wake up soon." I said.

I stood up and walked to the door. Just as I touched the door knob, I heard a long beep. I looked back, Hayes.

I ran up to him, I felt his chest, no heart beat.

"Hayes!" I said.

A doctor came in, "Whats wrong?"

What's wrong?! Do you not hear the long beep?!

"He stopped breathing!" I said.

More doctors came in, they started using tons of weird tools and I covered my mouth.

I cried and cried and cried.

"I think you should leave." One of the doctors said and looked at me.

"No I can't." I said.

I didn't want to leave. I want to stay. I don't want to lose him.

"Ma'am I think you need to leave." Another doctor said.

"I'm not leaving!" I said.

"Ma'am leave. Right now." The doctor said again.

"No please." I said.

A doctor that was standing by came over to me.

He started pushing me towards the door.

"No!" I said.

I looked at Hayes, tears streaming down my face. I fell to the floor. I screamed.

"I'm not leaving!" I said.

"Ma'am! Now!" He said.

"No!" I said.

Just then, Hayes took a huge breath.

"Hayes!" I said.

The doctors helped him. He looked around.

"Megan?" He asked.

"Yeah it's me" I said.

The doctors did some things, then said I could talk to him.

"Hi." I said and hugged him, he hugged back.

"What happened? And I like you too but I don't think our relationship should go this far." Hayes said.

"Wait." I said.

"No I didn't mean-" I cut him off.

"You like me?" I asked.

"No I just wanted to make you feel better." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"You know, just incase you like me I didn't want to make you feel bad because I didn't like you." Hayes said.

"Uh" I said.

"I'm just kidding!" He said.

I laughed, "Wow."

"I really missed you." He said.

"I missed you too." I said.

All the boys came in, and Nash hugged him.

"I missed you!" Nash said.

"You too." Hayes said and smiled.

"Cameron?" Hayes asked.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"I missed you." He said.

"I missed you too." Cam said and they hugged.

I was so glad Hayes was awake. And I'm so happy he didn't die.

Hayes will have to stay in the hospital for a while. He has a broken rib, collarbone, and badly bruised jaw.

We all stayed with him. I have been noticing that Emily and Aaron have been talking a lot. I don't know what's going on between them.

"We should probably get some rest." Nash said.

"Yeah probably." I said.

Hayes was already sleeping, but everyone else wasn't. It was one in the morning, so we all found spots around the room and lobby and slept.

Me, Cam, Aaron, Emily, and Nash slept in the room. And everyone else slept in the lobby.

We left asleep. Finally.
