Bad/good news Part 1

I woke up to my dad shouting.

"Everybody come down here!" my dad shouted.

"Coming!" me and my little brother Jake yelled in unison.

We ran down the stairs and entered the kitchen.

"What's up" I said sitting on a stool by the kitchen table.

"We're having guests over for dinner tommarow" my mom said excited.

"Who?" Jake asked.

"My boss and his family are coming over for dinner his son is your age and he is in your school" dad said.

"Umm what's your boss's last name" I pondered.

"Miles why?" he said raising an eyebrow.

"Just thinking" I said.

"Okay?" my dad said after we finished talking I dressed up for school.

I decided to wear some denim shorts and a tribal design top.

*beeeeeeep*

Who might that be?

The award goes to Sarah.

Of course.

I went inside her car and we drove off to school.
Once we got to our lockers I told her about the dinner with the Miles.

"You got to tell me how it all went after the dinner tommarow ok?"

"Ok" I said while nodding.

"Well I have to go i have to get to class early to study and don't forget to tell me about dinner" she said jogging to her class.

Great now I'm alone.

Alone.

I went to my locker and got my phone out I just scrolled through messages until the bell rang.

This is boring.

I shut my locker and almost jumped 2 feet high.

"Don't scare me like that" I said.

"It's okay sweetheart no need to be scared" David said smirking.

"What's up?" I said making a conversation.

"Just came by to tell you to dress well for dinner tommarow" he said with a wink and walked away.

That bad boy.

After I saw him disappear around the corner I saw Ashley walking toward me.

Slut.

"Hey Avery" she said trying to use a sweet voice.

Sick.

"Hi" I chocked out.

"I came by and said get away from David" she spat.

"Why?" I said

"'Cause he's mine and only mine I always get what I want and don't tell anyone about this"

"What if I don't"

"Let's just say it won't end well" with that she left.

Wow.

I opened my locker 'cause I forgot my phone and shut my locker I saw Luis walking towards me.

"Um I saw u talking with Ashley" Luis said.

"Yeah I was talking to her so?" I said trying not to be rude.

"Well um what did she say to you?"

"I can't say" I said walking away.

He grabbed my wrist and I was now facing him.

"Tell me" he commanded.

"I can't tell anybody" I said trying to get off his grip.

"Ill take you somewhere and you can tell me there" he said.

"When?"

"Right now"

"So we are just going to ditch school?"

"Yeah"

"Where are we going?" I asked going inside his car.

"This place I found"

"Oh ok"

We got to a cafè and went outside and ordered two vanilla cappuccinos.

Mmm.

"So what did she say?" he asked.

"She said that I have to stay away from David because he is hers-"

"But you guys are just friends" he said interrupting me.

If only he knew.

"Yeah that's true but ill try and stay away from him"

"No your not going to do that ill try and protect you"

"Ok well we better go school is going to be over soon" I said checking my phone to see what time it was. It was 3:04. Well schools over and I'm going to need a ride home.

"Hey can you give me a ride?"

"Yup where do you live?"

"To say it easier its behind David's house"

"What?" he said shocked.

"I have lived 4 years in that house and you guys didn't know."

"Oh well were here"

"Thanks for the ride" I smiled.

I entered my house and went inside my bedroom and did my homework.
