Chapter 10:
Weekend fun with the bad boys
After school was finished Sarah dropped me home saying that after she was finished packing that she'll meet me here so Matt could pick us up. i went into my house and saw that my dad was home instead of my mom. That was kind of odd seeing that, i walked into my house and into the kitchen and saw Jake coloring a picture. I ruffled his hair and he shook his head to get it back in place.
"Avery, you know i hate it when you mess with my hair." Jake said with a pout on his lips.
"I know but i couldn't resist!" i said kissing his chubby cheek causing him to blush a little.
"where's dad, Jake? i saw his car out front." I asked him.
" daddy is in his office." Jake said pointing down the hallway. I nodded and made my way towards the room. I opened the door and found my dad sitting at his desk with his glasses on his face and paperwork placed all over to his desk top. I walked over to his desk and knocked on the top to get his attention. He seemed so concentrated that he didn't even notice when i entered.
"knock knock." i tapped on his desk. my dad looked up and gave me a smile.
"hey pumpkin. i didn't even notice when you entered." he said.
"i noticed." i said giving him a reassuring his smile. "how come your home so early?"
I had to pick up Tyler from day care because your mom is working a little late tonight." I nodded and sat down on the couch next to his desk. "is there something you want to ask me?" how did he know? "honey i am your father. i can read like a book." Damn him!
"uh, um." i stammered out. holy gosh i'm nervous.
"spit it out. An" my dad says looking back down at his paperwork.
"can i got to a lake house this weekend with a couple of friends?" i asked gingerly.
My dad looked up from the paper in his hand and straight at me. "who's going?" he asked sternly.
"er, Sarah." i answered.
"and?" my dad question.
THIS IS A TO BE CONTINUED AND HERE IT IS NOW....
"David, your boss's son and two of his friends." i said cautiously. My dad stared at me for at least a minute and i was scared he was going to burst with anger or something.
"sure you can go." my dad said looking back down to the papers.
Wait what? Did he just say i could go?
"yes Avery i said you can go." he said smiling towards me. "i trust your choices and i know you wont do anything stupid even though you can be clumsy and dumb at times." my dad finished off smirking at me. i glared at him for a second but went up and hugged him from behind.
"and you can be annoying and stubborn sometimes, but i still love you." i said giving him a kiss on the cheek.
he patted my hand. " i love you too, sweetie. what time are you leaving?"
"six" i said.
"well, its five right now. so you better start packing." i nodded and walked out of the room and upstairs to mine. i grabbed a bag and stuffed it with clothes ad products that i would need for the trip. By the time i was done it was dive thirty and Sarah had called me saying that she'll be at my house in ten minutes. Matt had texted me telling me that he'll be picking us up in twenty minutes. wondering when i got his number? we exchange them after we made the plan to go to the lake house for the weekend. i also have Luis's and David's number just in case. Well that's what they said.
