"Hey guys, let's play a game!" Amy exclaimed.
"What game?" Luis asked.
"The game is called dare you and this is how you play." Amy looked down on
the ground and picked up four twigs, three of them were long and one of them
was short. "Okay since I'm the one who started the game I won't have to pick for
the first round. In the game the four of you will each pick a twig and whoever
gets the short one has to do the dare I come up with. Once the dare is
completed by the person with the short twig, that person gets to be the person
who gives out the twig and come up with the dare. Simple?" we all nodded in
unison. "Great, now pick each of you pick a twig." She held them out and we
each took a twig.
And guess what? I got the shorter end of the twig. It's no big deal all she gonna
do is give me a dare nothing too bad. I hope.
"David, my man, looks like you got stuck with the shorter twig." Amy said
smirking.
"Uh, I guess so." I answered back. "So what's my dare?" I said nonchalantly.
"David, the bad boy, I dare you to kiss my best friend Avery." She
said pointing towards Avery smirking. I was shocked at the dare. I turned to
see how Avery was reacting. Her eyes were wide in shock and then turned
into a glare directed to Amy.
"Um, I don't think it's necessary." Avery said continuing to glare in Amy's
direction.
"It's a harmless kiss, it won't mean anything." Amy said nonchalantly.
"It's a dare Avery, it won't mean anything afterwards." I said turning to face her.
She looked in my direction a flash of sadness passed in her eyes. She studied
my face for a minute trying to find something, but couldn't seem to. She sighed
and nodded and turned to face me. I leaned down closer to her lips.
This won't mean anything.
It's just a kiss.
It's not like I have feelings for her.
Right?
-Avery's P.O.V.-
"It's a dare Avery, it won't mean anything afterwards" David said. When I heard
that I felt a rush of sadness wash over me. It's a dare Avery, just a dare. It won't
mean anything. But it will mean something to me. I sort of like David and if I kiss
him and he doesn't feel the same then it would be hurtful. Plus it's my first kiss.
Hey don't judge!
I mentally sighed to myself and looked at David studying his face. He knows I'm
attracted to him, but he doesn't know that I sort of like him and I want to keep it
that way. This kiss might just change all of that, he might figure out my feelings
for him and he probably won't feel that way and decide that it would be better if
