"Jack?" Mark spoke softly, breaking the silence that had been plaguing them for over ten minutes.
"Yeah?" The Irishman replied almost silently, exhaustion taking over him after a long day.
"Are you. . ." Mark's chocolate gaze shifted toward the other longingly, "are you distancing yourself because you don't want us to be caught?"
Again with the silence.
"Jack?" He called out once again with a beseeching tone.
Perhaps he fell asleep?
Or maybe he's pretending so that he doesn't have to answer. . .
Because maybe, just maybe. . .
The answer is no. . .
