#14 : The Last Life (final)

- Shiba.. you love me right..? So do it to me too.. *sleep talking*

- Do what ? 😐 asks Shiba.

- *wakes up* Huh ?? Shiba ??

- Somebody gonna get hurt real bad. says my dad.

- So you're okay now, bro ? says Frank.

- Dad ?? Frank ??! haha.. is this a dream ? I asked.

- No, you monkey! says Shiba.

- Frank and me actually survived. says Lucy.

- Oh.. I'm so happy guys.. but what's up with the world ? Did Eric meet the scientist ?

- When the army came to help us all, Eric could meet the scientist while we were all taken here to the hospital. Actually, the rest of the world had already found a cure before us and saved themselves by preventing the dead from coming back to life. Now we just gotta kill the rest of the zombies and diagnose the people who are still alive so the zombies wouldn't want to eat them. So the virus wouldn't spread too... Many people also died so there is a baby crash... World population came down from 7 billion to 6 billion. says my dad.

- Huh.. well since we reproduct quickly, this isn't really a big problem, lol. I said.

Shiba suddenly hugs me.

- I missed you. You slept for a week. she said.

- Oh, a week ? Hmpf.. almost like the last time. But I'm happy to see you.

- I'm happier than you. said Shiba.

- I'll make you happy anytime.

- 😑

- And Kio..? I asked.

- Kio is..

- Kio is dead, Crow. says my dad.

- Oh yes.. I remember.. Suzy too.. and Wolf.. so many.. I said.

- Yes.

The sky was getting dark blue and suddenly the bike stopped working.
No fuel.
We walked with the bike to a petrol pump.
While Kio was filling up the bike, we were talking about our lives before this zombie disease happened.  

- So... I was a photographer. My profession was to take professional pictures...

- Oh, really? I thought you'd be a body guard or something... haha.. says Crow.

- Hahaha! You're right. I could do that. I just liked to be fit, you know.

- How about your family? asks Crow.

- Well, my parents were separated. I had a little bro, he was 20. And 3 years ago, I met the love of my life, we married last year, I bought a house for us. And then, she was pregnant...

- Ow. That's great. Where is she now ? And the baby ?

- Unfortunately, I had some problems with a dangerous guy... and one day, he got mad and came to my house while I was at work. He called me and said he's got my wife, and if I don't surrender to him, he's gonna hurt her. So I ran quickly to home and I realized that he was infected and he had infected our baby who was eating the insides of my wife. I lost control et I massacred this guy. He died. And when the police came, they thought I murdered my wife. And they put me in jail. They thought I was crazy when I tried to explain them that this man was a zombie and he killed my wife and the baby.

- Oh my god... that man was crazy.. said Crow shocked.

- Hmpf.. yeah. 

- And your bro ? Where's he ?

- He used to visit me once a week in jail. On the 3rd week, he started talking nonsense. He said he doesn't know why he came here and I was like what you sayin' and he said he's suddenly getting hungry. I thought he was finding an excuse to go home and to not see me today so I said "okay, you can go back home." and he said "I wanted to see you before going...", I was confused and I said "you're acting weird, if you're drunk, you can go home and see me another day." and he approached me and said "Can I eat you?" and I pushed him and he fell, he started bleeding from everywhere. His skin was ripping and bleeding. I got scared and I shouted for help. And he suddenly started groaning and that's when he tried to bite me and I tried to step back and all until I punched his head, he fell and I fell backwards. And I was looking at him terrified. I called his name. But he wouldn't answer. He was dead... The guards came and caught me killing my own brother. They added more time for me in jail.  

- Woa. Bro, that's crazy. Now I'm scared if my family's still alive...
