I decided to have the guys come over to the house tonight. We hadn't chilled as a group since the year started. We saw each other in practice but it was like labor instead of us doing the stuff we wanted. Darrius also had work on the weekend along with trying to keep his boyfriend happy. Out of all of us, I believe he was the only one who really needed his boys. Even if he keeps complaining about us not letting his boyfriend come.
"Can I just text him?" He asked as we laid around my living room. All of us answered in unison, "No!"
"You know what give me yo' fucking phone," Tre said snatching Darrius's cell from his hand stuffing it into his black sweatpants. The three of us were on the couch while the rest of the guys were sitting on the floor. Darrius tried to snatch it back but I stopped him. The guys laughed but Darrius still had his glare. I playfully pushed him and said, "Damn man. We are just trying to hang out with our guy and that's all. You actin' like we holding you captive or something."
"Caleb does and you know how he is Chris," Darrius stated motioning for Gerald to give him his soda from the floor before continuing, "You know ever since that whole Alicia thing, he literally hasn't let me out of his reach for more than a few hours. He will probably be calling me in like 10 minutes to see what we are doing."
"Dude trying to have you by the balls man," Jace said chomping down on his chips. Looking at my friend's expression I could tell that it wasn't us that had him anxious, it was Caleb. See what I mean when I said he needs this more than us. I knew Caleb was still having a little insecurity about the situation but I could tell it was getting to Darrius.
"Why don't you tell him about how you feel?" Johnny chimed in, "I mean we can see it in your face you don't like feeling obligated to say yes to him all the time."
"But I feel like I have to because of that," Darrius stated honestly, "I mean he was the main person I leaned on when my aunt died and he made me feel better. However, now that I'm kind of moving forward and I want to do other things, he gets upset and I can't have him upset. Y'all get it right?"
Chris Brown's Poppin' was playing softly around the room as we silently looked at our friend who was so painfully in love that Tre said, "You a bitch."
Gerald and Jace grinned as Johnny shook his head smiling. Darrius turned to Tre ready to punch him in his face for even bringing up the word, "How the fuck am I a bitch for not wanting my boyfriend to be upset?"
"Because man, you can't even fucking shit without him being there."
"Boy if you don't shut yo dumb ass up!"
"I bet that's what Caleb say before he sticks his dick in yo mouth."
We couldn't hold in our laughter now as they continued to fight as Darrius said, "Nigga you just fucking mad that I'm actually getting some on the regular but you ain't."
"I rather have dry condomless pussy then a shitty ass," he stated seriously and even though I was still laughing I had to chime in, "Nigga you can clean an asshole though."
"Water and soap doesn't get everything. It's always something hiding in the hole that you can't see man."
I wanted to go further into how you clean but I was rolling over at my friend's stupidity. Even Darrius was laughing now and said, "Boy you look like what comes out of an ass."
"Ole shit face head ass," Gerald said making Jace fall over in laughter. Tre begins to laugh too and countered by saying, "Boy I know you ain't talking with that Brillo pad ass fro you got."
I couldn't breathe but this was what I missed about us hanging out together. No boyfriends or girls distracting us. We could eat without having people trying to baby us. Plus, I haven't seen Darrius laugh this hard since Aunt Ruby died.
