I got up feeling horrible....yet relieved. It was a good thing I was a vampire, otherwise I wouldn't just feel it, I'd look horrible. Needless to say, I had cried a lot last not, and this morning. okay, I cried non stop until it was time for me to get ready for school. Pathetic, I know, crying over some boy.

But Edward isn't just some boy. He is the man that changed my life forever. The man, who no matter how hard I try, I can't stop loving. I just don't see how it's so easy for him to leave me if he claims to feel the same way about me. I guess there's only one way to summarize that; Men.

All men aren't like that though. Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett have all been loyal men to their wives and would do anything for them. Jacob, he is a great man and I could never see him leaving a woman like that.

Oh well, maybe it's just me. Or it just wasn't meant to be.

I wanted to crawl back into bed and lay under the sheets and cry all day but, I stand for more than that. I am a strong independent woman, right? I'll live without some man. I would never allow anybody to see me crying over something like that. That is the old me. The new me will get out of bed find something spectacular to wear and hold her head up high because she knows that she is amazing and any man would be lucky to have her.

So, that's just what I'll do.

Arabella came back home while I was doing my hair getting it ready for school. "Mom i'm home!" she yelled as she came in through the door.

"Okay honey, I'm upstairs in my room!" I called down to her. I heard her make her way up the stairs and open my bedroom door. I was doing my hair in my mirror when she walked in. I decided to use my curling iron and style those really bouncy spiral curls into my hair that cascaded all down my back, the ones that when you walk they bounce like the springs in a mattress.

"Hey mommy, ooh your hair is soo cute!" she squealed.

"You like?" , I asked with a French accent. We both began to giggle, she always knows how to cheer me up. "Well I'm just about done. Do you want me to do your hair like mine too? It'll be so cute."

" Sure. Plus, I've got to tell you all about my time last night with Jake!" Ara exclaimed.

I quickly snapped my head towards her, " Jake?" she already has a nickname for him! I don't know why but I felt a little jealousy pang through me. That was definitely my nickname for him." You're already calling him by his nickname?" Oh well, I guess I'll get over it.

"Yeah, I mean, what's wrong with that?" she looked at me worriedly.

" Nothing." I stood up from the chair in front of the mirror. " Sit." I pointed towards the chair, directing her to sit in it. " I'll be back in a sec, I need to put my clothes on, okay? " I called to Ara as I strolled to my closet.

I picked out a pair of gray skinny jeans and a black graphic v-neck tee that had the words 'Bite Me' on it in bright red. I laughed at the irony of my shirt, and it also described how I was feeling today. I really did not feel like being bothered or even going to school for that matter. I decided on a pair of black pumps.

I walked back into my room and I noticed that Ara had gone and changed her clothes as well. She was wearing something that was identical what I was. A pair of black skinny jeans with a red graphic tee that said 'Only Vampires Can Love You Forever' in light gray.

We both took one look at each other and began laughing.

"Alright sweetie, have a seat so I can get started." I told her. As she sat down, I glanced at my alarm clock and saw that we only had 15 minutes left to get ready before we left for school. "Oh baby, I'm not going to have enough time to curl all of your hair. Is it okay if I curl your hair in a ponytail?"
