neither of the two boys knew what was going to happen when they arrived. they didn't know what to expect. tyler didn't know if they would try to kill him, if they would be afraid of him, or not even care. he didn't know if this was putting his beloved josh in danger or not. because that was the last thing he wanted to do.

josh drove as fast as he could (without breaking the speed limit because he's a good boy) to the ballroom they were to meet in.

he parked the car across the street, where he thought no one had seen them.

but of course, josh was wrong.

jenna came running at them, along with debby. debby was wearing a short, black, no strapped dress, and jenna was wearing a buttoned up white shirt (that was tucked in) with a black bowtie and black slacks.

"where the hell were you two?" she said, giving josh a hug. she moved towards tyler and gave him a firm handshake, which took him by surprise.

"we just had to talk," josh said, looking at his handsome boyfriend and date.

tyler gave him a reassuring smile... and a mental message.

im okay, joshie, don't worry.

with that, josh's face was plastered with such a big smile that somehow didn't tear his face.

"oh my god!" debby squealed happily, giving her best friend a hug.

"what?" tyler was confused. "what happened?"

the three self aware hybrids all exchanged smiles before jenna spoke up.
"youre a hybrid as well, tyler. welcome to our family."

tyler gave them a nervous smile, pretending to know what they were talking about.
"uh, cool."

tyler, you can hear me right?

his head snapped to look in josh's direction. he was startled and somewhat scared that he hear josh in his mind.

"w-was that.. you who said that?" tyler asked, still not fully aware of what was going on.

"yeah, babe, it was."
