1.
Civil War.
Queens, New York.

"Hey, May." a guy with earphones in his ears entered the home. Nikki scanned the guy's features, surprised to see a boy his age. She thought he was somewhat older.

"Mhmm. How was school today?" May asked, sitting upright.

"It was okay, this crazy car parked outside." the boy started, and went to look at his aunt, instead, he saw her with Tony Stark and his daughter.

"Oh, Mr. Parker." Tony said when he saw Peter's surprised face, making the younger girl beside him chuckle.

"Um.. What are you doing— Hey! Um-um, I'm Peter." he introduced himself, making Tony nod.

"Tony. This is my daughter, Nicolette, you may call her Nikki." he motioned to the girl, who gave him a wave.

He paused to look at the other girl. Peter was starstruck, getting off-guard by the girl. He stared at her for a few seconds, which made Tony clear his throat. "Eyes up here, Mr. Parker."

"Oh, y-yeah! Sorry. Um, what are you doing here?" he asked, reverting his eyes back to Tony's.

"You've been getting my e-mails, right?" Tony winked at Peter, making the younger boy nod his head. "Yeah... Yeah! Regarding the—" he started, but was cut off by May.

"You didn't even tell me about the grant." May raised both of her eyebrows.

"—about the grant." Peter continued.

"The September foundation." Tony cut in.

"Yeah. Right." Peter stuttered out. "Remember when you applied? I approved, so now we are in business." Tony concluded.

"But you didn't tell me anything. What's up with that? You keeping secrets from me now?" May asked.

"I just know how much you love surprises so I thought I would let you know..." Peter trailed off, and shook his head. "Anyway, what did I apply for?"

"That's what we're here to hash out." Nikki but in. Okay. Hash it out, okay." Peter was already nervous, but the girl made it twice.

"It's so hard for me to believe that she's someone's aunt." Tony stated, which made his daughter uncomfortable. "Yeah, well, we come in all shapes and sizes, you know?"

"This wallnut date loaf is exceptional,"

"Let me just stop you there." Peter held out a hand, pointing between Tony and his daughter. "Is this grant got money involved or whatever? No?"

"Yeah, it's pretty well funded." Nikki nodded. "Yeah, wow." Peter was overwhelmed. "Look at who you're talking to."

"Can we have five minutes with him?" Tony stood up. "Sure,"

-

"As walnut date loaves go, that wasn't bad." Tony said as he spit the food into a trash can. Nikki went up to the door and locked it.

"Whoa, what have we here? Retro tech, huh? Thrift store? Salvation Army?" Tony asked as he scanned the things on Peter's desk.

"Uh, the garbage, actually.." Peter admitted. "You're a dumpster diver?" Nikki asked, carelessly sitting on a chair.

"Yeah, I was..." Peter trailed off. "Anyway, look, um, I definitely did not apply for your grant..."

"Ah-ah! Me first," Tony cut him off and took his phone. Quick question of the rhetorical variety. That's you, right?" he showed Peter a video of him- flying and hitting a theif who was opening a car.
