"Red?" Strange repeated, staring at the girl infront on him. "Yes, red." she confirmed, raising one eyebrow."Your name doesn't make sense." Stephen said, and was about to talk to Tony until Nikki cut him off.
"Yeah, and so is Dr. Strange, yet here we are." she stated and went marching to Peter who had an amused look on his face.
"He's a wizard. He can send you to another dimension any time," Peter hissed at the girl. She had a flat look plastered on her face.
"Yeah. And I'm a telekinetic teenage girl and also an assasin who can break his neck any minute. I'm the one who's supposed to be scared?" she asked Peter smugly.
"The ship is self-correcting its course. Thing's on autopilot." Tony said, not before giving his daughter a thumbs up on how she handled Strange. Well, it was no surprise that they both hated Strange. I mean, she was raised by Tony most of her life.
"Can we control it? Fly us home?" Strange demanded, making Tony nervously look at the ground and pace around.
"Stark," Strange called out, resulting in Tony looking at him.
"Can you get us home?" he demanded once again.
"Yeah. Heard you."
"He can't take us home. I don't think he knows how to fly a plane." Nikki whispered at Peter, who nodded in response. "Yeah.. I figrued that out by now."
"I'm not so sure we should." Tony said an looked at Strange.
As Nikki thought about it, this was true. If they went back to earth Thanos would be able to steal the time stone easier.
"Why don't you just like.. Destroy the time stone?" she suggested, making Stephen snap his head at the younger girl.
"I vowed to protect the stone." he said sharply and went to look back at Tony.
"Under no circumstances can we bring the Time Stone to Thanos. I don't think you understand what's at stake here." Stephen said, starting to walk towards Tony.
"What? No!" Tony exclaimed and went face to face with the wizard who was infront of him, pointing out his fingers to Stephen's face.
"It's you who doesn't understand that Thanos has been inside my head for six years since he sent an army to New York, and now he's back!" he exclaimed, sighing in annoyace.
"And I don't know what to do. So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight him on our turf or his. But you saw. What they did, what they can do. At least, let's hope he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him, Doctor." Tony said sarcastically and stared at Strange.
"Do you concur?" Tony asked after a few beats of silence.
"Alright Stark. We go to him." Strange finally agreed. "But you have to understand..." Nikki looked back to see that Strange was still talking. She was about to ask Peter if he might have had packed up some mints or any type of food.
"If it comes to saving you, the kid, your daughter, or the Time Stone... I will not hesitate to let either of you die. I can't. Because the universe depends on it." Strange finished.
"Nice. Good moral compass." Tony patted the wizard's shoulder.
"Alright kid," Tony started and looked at Peter's direction. "You're an Avenger now." he patted his shoulder, leaving Peter in a really giddy smile.
Nikki stared at him and gave him a thumbs up. Peter smiled, and looked into an empty space with the smile still plastered on his face.
-
"Im hungry."
"I know. You finished all my thin mints."
Nikki sighed and looked out the glass. "I'm starting to re-think my life choices. I should have never left the school bus." she muttered and went to face Peter.
"I have a feeling this 'space adventure' isn't going to end well." she stated and stared at him.
Peter gulped. Here they where again. Just the two of them. Eye contact. Talking. It made Peter nervous as hell.
"What's going on?" Nikki suddenly asked when she saw the ship was landing on some sort of spikes.
"I think we're here." Tony said, him and Strange suddenly appearing behind them.
"I don't think this rig has a self-park function." Nikki stated and looked at her dad. Tony looked around.
"Get your hand inside this." Tony stated and put his hands inside a device with two holes. "Understand? Then, we got one big dodge, so we gotta move at the same time." Tony stated and looked at Peter, his suit showing up.
"Okay, uh-huh ready?" Peter said when they were a mere feet away from the spikes.
"We might wanna turn, turn, turn. Turn!" Peter was freaking out. The ship hit a spike, making Nikki fall to the other side, banging her head to the metal.
Peter gasped out loud and made his suit show up.
"Activate suit." Nikki gasped into her watch, and her maroon suit covered her whole body. Stephen made a giant force field.
They landed. Nikki coughed several times and limped towards Tony.
"You okay?" she muttered and hugged him, he hugged her back and his suit got removed.
"I'm sorry to ruin the moment but.." Nikki looked up to see Peter on the ceiling. "Let me just say, if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something, - and I eat one of you, I'm sorry." he stated, slowing going down.
"I don't want another single, pop-culture reference outta you for the rest of the trip. Understand?" Tony stated. Nikki looked at Peter. Then at her dad. Then back at Peter.
"I don't think that's—"
"I'm trying to say that something is coming."
