"Do you hear what he's saying?" Nikki mouthed to Peter. They were both hiding inside the ship, side by side, out of sight. Strange was talking to Thanos, but they couldn't hear any words.

Peter nodded. "Yes," he mouthed back, and looked back at Strange and Thanos. "but it's boring stuff."

Nikki nodded in agreement, and waited for Strange's cue for them to come out.

Then, Thanos said, "Us?"

"That's our cue!" Peter exclaimed. Nikki commanded her suit to wrap her body, and followed Peter who hopped up and jumped down. She blasted upwards, then landing on her feet behind Peter. Mantis, Drax, Quill and Tony jumped out, blasters and guns firing. Thanos doged them all.

Nikki concentrated and made Thanos still. Strange made Peter a portal, who jumped in it and fell out to the other side that opened at Thanos' head.

"Magic!" Peter exclaimed. He punched Thanos in the head and jumped through another. "Magic," he jumped through again and repeated his last move. Nikki tried to control Thanos so that he wouldn't move, but Thanos brought out the gauntlet and pointed it at her, a violet light hitting her on the head. She was took off her own feet and landed next to a pile of junk, groaning.

"Magic with a kick!" Peter exclaimed, but Thanos grabbed him by his neck and threw him to the ground. Nikki stood up and ran towards him, screaming, "Peter!"

Peter was gasping and groaning due to the hand that was on his neck. He choked, and Nikki concentrated at Thanos arm again. She cocked her head to the left, tugging him away.

Thanos turned to look at Nikki. He punched her with his right arm right in the face, then throwing her backwards.

"N-" Peter was trying to shout. He ran towards Nikki to where she was laying on the ground. "Hey? Can you hear me?" he shook her repeatedly.

She was lying down on her back, her eyes were wide open, there was still a tint of red in her eyes. "Oh god," she muttered out. There was a long gash on the side of her head that was bleeding out.

Peter helped her sit up. "You're okay?" he asked with a thick layer of concern. She nodded, looked at Thanos, and pointed at him. "Help them. Come on, I'm okay."

Peter was reluctant at first, but he decided to go help the others who were dealing with Thanos. The purple creature ripped out the cape that was on his hands.

Tony flew above Thanos, and brought a bomb towards him. When the bomb exploded, Thanos took the fire and blasted it at Tony.

The blasted hit the ship. Peter ran and webbed the gauntlet, then attempting to kick Thanos, who took the webs amd threw him to the ground.

Nikki rubbed her forehead and blasted upwards, taking one of the broken peices of the ship, and throwing it at Thanos. Thanos rolled to the ground, then Nebula jumped into the scene and hit Thanos on the face.

"Well, well." Thanos taunted. Nebula gave him a glare. "You should have killed me."

"Would have been a waste of parts!" Thanos exclaimed. Nebula screamed and hit Thanos repeatedly with her spear. "Where is Gamora?!" she demanded. Thanos threw her to a pile of junk, making Nebula let out a whimper.

Strange used his powers, and made rope-like things grab his arm. Drax jumped in and kicked Thanos on his feet, making Thanos scream.

Nikki jumped into the scene and let her arms out, making Thanos crush to the ground. Quill took one of his machines and threw it at Thanos, making his other arm stuck to the ground.

Peter webbed Thanos, the legs of his machine then appearing. Tony tried to pull the gauntlet out, but failed.

Strange then created a portal above Thanos, and Mantis flew out of it, landing on his head. Mantis screamed in pain, and concentrated and concentrated to make Thanos fall asleep.

After struggling, Thanos eyes rolled into his head, his hands still slightly trembling. "Is he gone?" Tony asked, making Mantis nod in approval. "Be quick. He is really strong." she added.

"Parker, come and help me here." Tony ushered Peter. Peter went in and helped him remove the gauntlet. Nikki also jumped in an use her abilites to pull the gauntlet.

Quill stood in front of Thanos and laughed. "We got you now." he laughed. "This was my plan, by the way. Totally an awsome one." he pointed tha blaster at Thanos. "Where is Gamora?"

"Hurry up!" Nikki gasped.

"Where is Gamora?" he asked again, voice full of anger. "Tell me where she is!"

"My... Gamora." Thanos growled.

"No crap!" Quill said, then hitting Thanos. "Tell me where she is!"

Mantis cried out as she felt Thanos' feelings. "He is full of so much sadness-"

"So he can feel. Interesting."

Mantis shook her head. She whimpered, facing Quill. "He-he mourns! He mourns for.. for Gamora."

Quill froze. "He what? N-no."

"He took her with him because she knew where the stone was." Nebula said, who was standing behind him. "He returned with the soul stone. She did not come back with him. He traded her." Nebula shook her head in agony.

"Quill, buddy keep it together, okay?"

Nikki payed no attention to them. She focused on the gauntlet. Concentrated, concentrated, concentrated.

The gauntlet slipped out of Thanos hand and went to her. Nikki was about to rejoice, but Thanos woke up, threw her to the side, and took the gauntlet.

She fell to the ground, scraping her chin. Nikki then remembered the memory that played in her head.

It all made sense now.

They were going to lose.

There was nothing she could do.
