"I didn't know you liked fishing.", natatawa niya akong tinitigan habang pinipilit kong iadjust ang nylon ng fishing rod ko. 

Nakaupo kami ngayon sa tabi ng community river. He was still looking at me intently as I tried once again to redo his rod. 

"It's a family hobby. I'm surprised that you don't know how to, knowing that you also like to eat seafood and all.", I responded saka ibinigay ang rod sa kaniya kasama na ang bait. 

"I love to eat fish pero hindi ko gustong mangisda. I'm terrified of what I'll find after I cast the line."

Napatigil ako sa ginagawa ko saka ko siya tiningnan ng may halong pagtataka. 

"Isda lang makukuha mo d'yan. Wala ka ng iba pang mahuhuli sa ilog."

I fixed my bun and straightened my skirt. We've been sitting for almost an hour trying to catch some fish but luck seems to be allergic to us. I saw him sighed from my peripheral view, he looked so lost in his thoughts. 

"I'm scared that it's not just fish. You don't know what's deep down there. Could be a corpse, a person's lost watch. It could also be someone's pet."

I laughed at him. I can saw his irritated reaction dahil sa response ko. I didn't know he was this dark. The only thing that I know I'll catch is fish, kamalas malasan na ang wala.

"You won't. Can't believe you thought about those."

"I'm just honest. Not all persons are brave like you. I'm scared of the dept.", I can feel that he really is scared. However, I can't shrug off this feeling that there's something wrong.

"Nasobrahan ka na ng pagbabasa ng mga madidilim na novels. Loosen up. If ever we did caught something gruesome, I'll make sure to toss it back!"

He smiled at me, but that smile didn't reach his eyes. I can see that something's been bothering him. I suddenly felt guilty, I don't know if this is foreshadowing but I'm sure I'll be the reason behind that fake smile.

"Why are you here this early?", pagbabago niya ng usapan. Well, he does have a reason to ask that. Hindi kami nagkikita ng ganitong oras, it was just 8 in the morning pero I already asked him to come with me dito sa ilog.

"No reason.", sagot ko naman.

"Sinungaling ka.", he ruined my hair and pasimple akong dinanggil. 

"Spill.", dagdag pa niya habang nakatingin na din sa kawalan.

"My sister is pregnant.", I blurted out. No use of hiding it though, soon enough malalaman din naman ng buong mundo.

"Samara?", paglilinaw niya.

"Si ate lang naman ang kapatid ko di ba? Yes, she's pregnant."

"Sinong ama? Yung fiancee niya?", pagtatanong niya pa. I heavily sighed and laid down on my back to look at the clear blue sky.

"Nope. That's where my problem starts."

"Well that could be troublesome. Why is it your problem though? Aside from your her sister."

Iniwas ko ang tingin ko sa kaniya. I can't tell him this. I'm aware that he'll be disgusted of me. He'll probably ask me kung bakit hindi ko nagawan ng paraan. 

Bakit nga ba hindi mo nagawan ng paraan Samantha?

"Because Samara got herself pregnant to an unknown guy, her fiance's family has been up all night in our house demanding that we fix this. It's not as if my sister loved him."
