Maya P.O.V.
Again we found another shelter as we were walking to take rest. We all sat down around the burning fire that was keeping us warm I was next to Teresa. ''You alright?'' I asked softly she didn't answer ''stupid question'' I said as I sighed.

We sat in silence until Frypan finally broke it. ''I never thought I'd say this but I mis the glade'' Frypan whispered as a single tear went down his face.

The Glade

Haft of me agreed with Frypan the other haft not so much. Thomas left soon after what Frypan said I was about to go after him until Newt stopped me. ''I'll go talk to him'' Newt whispered as he follows Thomas up the hill where he sat ''the real question is are they dating'' Catherine said with a small smile. ''Don't smile at a time like this'' Aris said quietly but I could hear so could Teresa. However it didn't seem like Catherine heard she just laid her head back as if no one responded ''I'm going to get some rest'' Catherine said as she patted my shoulder I just simply nod.

I did the same I laid my head back falling asleep quickly.

''Hey stick'' Hanna said with a small smile. I chuckle ''we already have a new one stop calling me that would ya?'' I said as I returned the smile. ''I guess you're right anyways how's your day been Maya?'' She asked 'I just groan she nodded. ''Yeah I understand how you feel it's an absolutely terrible to be here'' She said I nod in agreement.

Hanna was there looking lifeless strung up getting drained. Her eyes opened wide

''Why didn't you save me?!'' She shouted over and over.

''Hey Maya''  Rachel said with a small smile. ''Hey Rachel doing alright?'' I asked ''yeah did you find anything out in the maze today?'' She asked ''This close to getting out of here'' I said about to put he gap In between my fingers. ''I'm glad we are almost free'' She said ''me too'' I said as Harriet called for me. ''Talk to you later'' I said as I gave her an hug '' Talk to you later'' she repeated after me as I walked away.

Rachel was there looking lifeless and was strung up getting drained.

Her eyes went open ''What about me Maya? We aren't talking later are we? You should've saved me you m-'' before she could finish....

I woke up to Teresa her blue eyes filled with concern. ''What's wrong?'' She whispered ''Nothing'' I whispered back ''It has to be something you kept saying sorry in your sleep'' She said. ''It was nothing'' I said with a serious look on my face ''Follow me quietly'' she said as she led me away from the group who was sound asleep.

We sat down on the hill looking out towards the mountains that seemed to get farther away as we walked closer. ''Tell me what's on you're mind'' Teresa said her blue eyes looking deeply into my eyes. I was about to deny it until she beat me to it ''No lies all truth'' She said. I sigh ''I can't get rid of the past all I can think about is my friends that are gone Hanna is gone because of me I could've saved her'' I said sadly.

Teresa nodded. ''Tell me about Hanna'' She said I told her everything about Hanna and I we ranted to each other about being stuck in the glade and how we would have inside jokes that would make each other laugh. Also how Hanna, Pearl, and I would always have each other's back. After I was done it was silent for a few minutes ''she was a good friend of yours wasn't she?'' Teresa said.

I rub my eyes so the tears that we're building up would go away. ''Yeah she was one of my best friends'' I said with a sad smile ''It's not you're fault you saw her she was already well'' Teresa tried to look for the right word I decided to say it for her. ''She was already getting drained by Wicked'' I said finishing her sentence it was no use holding the tears back.

Tears went down my face ''It's all my fault I could've stopped it I could've saved her I could've saved Hanna'' I sobbed. ''No you tried to but the guards were armed and just pushed you but you pushed back you tried'' Teresa said trying to reassure me. ''I should've pushed back harder damn it'' I said now angry at myself ''Look at me'' Teresa said putting her hands on my cheeks making me look at her.

I looked into her eyes. ''It is not your fault Maya'' She whispered ''I should've s-'' before I could finish she cut me off ''No she would've understood you she would be proud that you tried to help her I know that because you told me all about her and trust me she sounds like an great person and friend'' Teresa said. ''She was she always will be'' I said looking down at the sand.

Teresa looked at me as I looked at the sand. ''Is there anyone else?'' She asked ''Rachel and Julia'' I said softly ''Let's start with Rachel'' She said with a small smile. After I told her everything about Rachel and talking about her I broke down in tears ''I'm sorry I couldn't save you'' I cried. ''Rachel is a good person and she always will be she would be proud of you'' Teresa said calming me down. ''You're only saying that to make me feel better'' I said to Teresa ''No I'm saying this because I care'' she said back. Leaving me silent ''I care about you'' She whispered I smiled weakly ''I care about you too'' I whispered back.

We sat in silence until when she was about to ask about Julia. ''No I don't want to talk about her just yet'' I said she nodded as we sat next to each other ''What about you? You listened to me I should listen to you shouldn't I?'' I whispered. She stayed silent ''what's troubling you?'' I said ''Just being out here and just its everything that's troubling me'' She said she sounded stressed like she's been thinking this for a long time. ''Hey we'll figure this out'' I said putting my arm around her.

Teresa nodded. ''Are you and Thomas in love?'' I asked she looked at me with a puzzled expression ''Sorry I-'' I started she cut me off again. ''Sorry just caught me by surprise and no we aren't why?'' She said ''Just wondering'' I said as I shrugged. ''Are you in love with anyone?'' She asked ''Love is dangerous'' I said plainly she frowned ''Why? How?'' She asked. ''Love is a ticking bomb you think you're safe at first until it's at its last tick then you know you've messed up then it explodes'' I said.

Teresa looked at me with confusion written all over her face. ''I used to believe in love I still do just not for me Love is dangerous to me it's toxic towards only me'' I said looking down avoiding her eyes. ''Don't say that there's love out for everyone and peace'' She said softly ''I hope you're right'' I said.
