Don't copy the herd, be original!! This goes for everything from clothes to music to personality.
Being yourself is always cool because it tells the world who you are. You don't have to worry about fitting in or standing out, you're just existing and having fun. Isn't that great?
You shouldn't feel under pressure to conform with the crowd. Yes, following the herd is the safe route and it makes you feel like you're a part of something if you look like and act like everyone around you. Yeah it's kind of weird and kind of easier said than done, but since when has following the crowd been fun?
Exactly, never, it's never been fun!
Truth is, when it comes to lifestyle, there are certain styles that won't look good on you because they aren't you, not because that tank top doesn't fit you or those skinny jeans are too loose. Your lifestyle reflects who you are, so why try and be something you're not?
You might dress like the hot and sexy people at school. You know, tie a "thot knot" and wear booty shorts or something like that. If that works for you, great! I'm glad that you're happy! You work that style, queen!! If that doesn't work for you, don't do it. You might dress sweet and naive like the popular girls who don't go to Church but act like it. If that works for you, that's fantastic! If that doesn't, fuck it. Wear what you want, queen.
You have your own type of body, your own music taste, your own elegance, your own sense of fashion. If you mix all those together, you get your own style that's just for you! You know you best! That way you can strut through school being comfortable and gorgeous (or handsome)!
Don't feel the need to conform to what's popular. Feel the need to conform to what makes you happy. If everyone is listening to weird rap music and you don't like it but you want to be cool, listen to what makes you happy. Self love and happiness are both cooler than popularity!
