It can't be him. I wipe my palms on my jeans and focus forward. It can't be him. I'm imagining things, this is my imagination. None of this is real. Then why am I sure I saw him, I don't think I was the type of person to start hallucinating. But then this whole situation felt so unreal, maybe reality was kicking in. I look back. He's gone now, like before he's been swept away before I have time to comprehend a single thought.

''Hey.'' Mile's tugs my hand. ''You okay? You look a whiter shade than pale?''

''Yeah well, I've never been around this many...'' Fractions. I roll my eyes, why did he care.

''Welcome! New and old visitors.'' The man's voice echoes around the room and I shiver. I sense the air which is thick of anticipation and excitement which rolls of the people gathered around me. People are still moving slowly becoming pulled to the centre like a herd of animals. I grab onto Miles shirt, still flustered over all these revelations. Tyler. Candor. Everything.

Why would he be here? Why am I here? Why am I questioning everything? Even if he does happen to be here right now, I'm not going to let him have this effect over me. I'm not going to turn back down that road of hope, just for him to trip me up again. I turn my attention to the speaker, to the roubles ahead. Mine are non existent compared to the real problems staring us in the face.

''We all face the same threat, they are the same threat.'' The man points around the room aggressively, like he's seeing a greater force we can't see yet. He's tall and wearing Amity clothes. The red and orange cling to his pale skin and grey hair, making him seem out of place.

''The problem is growing. They're already moving Dauntless troops into Amity and Candor. They think we don't know but we do. We notice, and we won't just stand by.'' His voice gradually becomes louder and eventually he's shouting. It carries through the room filling the hollow spaces and I swear I hear the faint noise of glass smashing up above.

''Initiation which just occurred means we have members spread across fractions now, working together. Although our numbers are still lacking in Erudite. Soon you'll be able to turn back to your families, once we have succeeded.'' He pauses before continuing. ''Those whom weren't successful in changing fractions when asked, those do not stand upon us today.'' My eyebrows tug together. I sense something about this information which makes me want to think It over, but my mind is still adjusting and taking in more information is near impossible.

''You showed impressive courage to our organisation. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to. Sometimes you don't have a choice, you realised this. Courage isn't in the choices we make, it's when we don't have room for choices.'' The speaker waits a few moments he closes his eyes, as if he's sensing the crowds reaction, feeding of there exhilaration.

''What should we do?'' Shouts out a younger Dauntless, stood amongst were Tyler was. My eye's don't dare look, it was my imagination, it must be.

''We should wait.'' The man responds in a hushed voice, he walks up and down the circle, which appears to be becoming smaller. I look around. I stare at Miles. I stare at  Zoey and Ezra. My eye's graze the crowd of the eager individuals. They're all wearing the same expressions, like they've witnessing the answers they have been searching for.

''Wait? We should wait while they invade our homes, stand there whilst the Erudite take over?'' More people shout in agreement.

''We don't know for sure there strategy, we can't attack without knowing our enemy first.'' He pauses and swallows before continuing. ''The only way we could win is by force, of our people. What we do know is Erudite are working on something, maybe a death serum or maybe something worse. Somehow it should be feared.''

''What's worse than a death serum?'' Calls out another voice.

''Control, not being able to control your choices; having something make them for you, influence your decisions into the wrong direction. We need to dig deeper, plan and then attack all of Erudite.''

More voices. ''Isn't that what we're avoiding, attacking means violence which causes death.''

Another voice. ''It's not the people, it's the government.''

The speaker shouts, not waiting for people to calm down. ''This is more than the people. If tearing down a few civilians whom get in the way or an entire fraction to save humanity, it's what we should do.''

I'm not sure what's worse, his ideas or the fact people around him are agreeing. Miles is one of them, pumping his fist into the air.

''What about after?''

His smile turned into something I couldn't quite place. Devious. ''After will come my friend, I promise you this, stand by me and I will ensure no more lives are lost at the cost of the Erudite.''

''I'm confused.'' I whisper not expecting anyone to hear.

''You'll learn.'' I felt the warm breath tickle the back of my neck before I realised anyone spoke. I turned, it was the Amity from earlier.

Something didn't feel right. My chest tightened as a feeling of doubt was released inside, making my bones feel out of place and my head seem woozy. But everyone around me couldn't see it. They all looked captivated by his words. I've seen control, on this level before. I live in it. He's not letting people follow a revolution he's leading it.

''Miles.''

''Yeah?''

''Can't you see this?''

''See what?''

I look into his eyes which hold nothing except fascination, over the future he's promised. When people are this desperate they latch onto any ideas which offer an alternative to what they're living in, never mind how extreme they are.

''We will take over no matter what the consequences, for our people, the people of our fractions. The government will burn.''

He was manipulating these people to follow a future. Couldn't they see his plans? - none of them could see what would happen after this was all over. Who would lead? I've never lived in a world without the fraction system, and I don't know if I would want to. Not his world.

''We are going to wait. Our numbers are growing, but we must be hesitant before allowing new members to join. Yes we have people working undercover in fractions, but so do they. One wrong move and we may be over. To the allegiance!''

Allegiance. It has a name now.
