''I'm still confused.'' I frown at the empty space in front of me.
''I'll explain one more time.''
I nodded.
''The Erudite led by Jeanie Matthews, blonde hair, kinda creepy.''
''Yeah, I saw her at initiation.''
''Is corrupt.'' He was taking slowly and beside him Miles was stood leaning against the brick wall, one hand laid across his forehead as he smirks.
''What's you're name again?'' I smiled. ''I never got it.''
''Um Levi.''
''Okay.'' I punch him in the shoulder. Its not a full blown punch, but I use the majority of my force. He doesn't move, but he looks shocked. He then shakes his head. ''You?''
''Riley.'' I stretch my hand out by my side, checking I still can. The punch probably hurt me more than it did him. It wasn't that I was confused, more in disbelief. Could this all be a trick, one huge misunderstanding. As much as that would be easy to believe, being able to go back living our simple mundane lives, I'm glad its not. It gives my life meaning, it's the crack I was searching for.
''What about Riley?'' I turned around, but wished I didn't. At first all I saw was a halo of short blonde hair, that belonged to Leah. We were stood outside as inside became too crowded. But despite the way the moonlight reflected of the glass, casting a light glow around the air itself, it was still dark. But I noticed him, more than a foot taller than Ezra. Tyler. I stared at him too long to pretend I hadn't noticed him, and he stared at me too. Although his stare wasn't what I expected. His face held no recognition of who I was, not even shock.
''We were trying to explain this whole bizarre world.'' Said Levi.
''Don't worry, Candor are too up there own arses to get involved.''
''I wouldn't insult my home land if I was you, I might not be Dauntless, but I know a thing or too.'' Miles said.
Leah bit her ring bar, pulling on her skin. I shivered. ''I'd like to see you try.'' They all laughed even Tyler and I stood there not really participating. How could he? The person I'd spent countless hours, lost in his arms, smiling and laughing. The person I trusted the most. The person less than a week ago I kissed. It would be better if he was dead. If I didn't have to acknowledge the fact he was ignoring the fact I existed. He won't even look at me.
''Riley?''
''Yeah.'' Miles slightly shakes my shoulder and I look up at him.
''You still there?'' I nodded, my throat too dry to reply.
''So how's life in Dauntless been?'' Miles asks politely.
''Boring, mostly. Now Ezras left and I'm stuck in initiation, all I have is Tyler and he's been acting miserable.'' Leah sighs heavily.
''I have not.'' Tyler replied. ''Don't lie, me transferring has been the best thing ever.''
''No. Dauntless cake was the best thing to happen, but your a close second.''
I felt sick, like I'd been punched in the gut or worse.
''Shall we?'' Miles asked pointing at the train already in eye sight.
I breathed out slowly.
''Cmon.'' Leah said. We began walking. ''You're more badass than most Dauntless. Let me train you and you're gonna be on the front line.'' From the corner of my eye I could see Tyler groan slightly, but maybe that was just my mind messing things up.
