[A/N: Heyo, beautiful people! This story is loosely based on an rp between me and the spectacular PupBenKao ! Please enjoy this wonderful mess that our evil, heartless minds created~]

Tord waltz through the ailes of his city's local grocery store, looking for oranges and potatoes. His family had run out of the produce, so they had asked him if he could go pick up more. So of course Tord had thrown on his trusty red hoodie, and tried to comb down his devil horn-looking hair before setting off to run his family's errand.

Tord selected the best looking of both foods, and placed them into his basket, then headed over to the checkout counter. He placed his things on the counter, and waited for the cashier to finish bagging and totalling his groceries.

Pop music played quietly through the store, drowning out any noises from outside. A calm atmosphere surround the tiny store, as people and families shopped together for food, all blissfully unaware of the chaos and destruction taking place outside.

If one of the shoppers had glanced out the window, they would have noticed the horrific sight of toppled skyscrapers and dust and blood that mixed together on the pavement under mutilated cars and bodies. They would have seen the black and purple, dog-esque monster rampaging through the city, destroying buildings with the swing of his tail and crushing any humans in his way with his powerful hands.

When he stood on all fours, the monster only stood about 20 feet tall, but he grew to a staggering 35 feet whenever he stood up straight on his muscular hind legs. A single row of razor sharp teeth lined the monster's mouth, and a single pure-black eye sat in the middle of his face, right above his snout.

Tord finished his transaction with the cashier, then grabbed his bags and left the store just as the monster got close. Tord looked up at the havoc-wreaking monster, which was only a few hundred feet away, and was instantly frozen with fear.

Tord's red hoodie caught the monster's gaze, since it just so happened to be his favourite colour. He ran towards Tord, who dropped his bags of groceries and ran for his life. Tord had no intention of being turned into monster food that day.

The monster enjoyed chasing Tord down the street and hearing his terrified screams, which were like music to his long, fluffy ears, and sent an amusing thrill up his spine. He liked playing with this interesting human.

Tord continued running as fast as his long legs could carry him, until he noticed a conveniently placed brick wall, and made a mad-dash to hide behind it. The monster lost sight of his play thing, and growled. He was angry that he hadn't picked up the human's scent so that he could easily find him where he went.

The monster continued walking in the direction he had seen Tord running in, while Tord on the other hand stayed hidden and tried to catch his panicking breath. He had just wanted to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things... how the hell had he gotten himself caught up in the middle of this situation?

The monster eyes were drawn towards a red brick wall, so he dashed over to it to inspect it. Imagine the monster's delight when he found the human hiding behind it. The monster smiled a sharp-toothed grin as he peered around the wall at his play thing.

"...Are you serious right now?" Tord asked, the small sense of relief and safety he had felt once again replaced with terror upon seeing the monster. This feeling of terror only increased as the monster loomed his large head over Tord, and sniffed at him to grab his scent.

Tord did the only logical thing any normal human being would do in that situation: He raised his hand, and slapped the monster on the snout. Unfortunately, this only angered the playful-feeling monster, who growled and narrowed his eye at Tord.

Tord remembered that he always carried a gun or two on him, just in case he ran into a nasty situation. Although, he never imagined "being cornered by a giant, mutated dog" would be one of those situations. Tord shoved a hand into the pocket on his hoodie, and pulled out a pistol, which he immediately aimed at the monster's single eye. He wondered why he hadn't thought of this earlier.

The monster simply stared down the barrel of Tord's gun, not even phased by the weapon pointed at his eye. He'd been shot at numerous times by law enforcers in the cities he had destroyed, so he knew that human guns were nothing but little pea-shooters against his thick, heavily armoured skin.

However, the monster had never been shot in the eye before, but he quickly found out how much pain that caused him when Tord fired a single round into his eye. The monster let out a massive roar, conveying his pain and anger, and Tord took that as a signal to run.

Tord made a mad dash to a nearby crumbled building, and took refuge under the rubble. He could hear the monster growling, and the loud thuds his feet made against the ground as the monster chased after Tord. Hugging his pistol to his chest, Tord squeezed his eyes shut and prayed that the monster couldn't get him, and mumbled things about how he was too young to die.

The angered monster reached his arms into the rubble, blindly searching for wherever his human had hidden. His vision was a bit blurry from the gunshot to his eye, and it hurt like hell, but at least he could still see to a small degree. The monster was careful as he felt through the rubble, as he didn't want to risk disturbing it and making the rubble crash down on his human and kill him.

Finally, the monster's hand brushed over Tord, who then screamed as the monster grabbed him and yanked him out of his hiding spot. He yelled things at the monster, such as, "I don't want to die!", and "Please don't kill me!", but the monster, of course, wasn't listening the the tiny human's words.

Just then, an idea popped into the monster's head that he should take his human home with him so they could play there. The monster looked down at the struggling boy in his hands, and decided it would be much faster if he carried the boy to his home while running on all fours. He gently bit down on Tord's hood, and let him dangle from his mouth, not unlike a mother cat carrying her kitten.

Tord, on the other hand, had no idea what the monster was doing, so he screamed and struggled until he slipped out of his hoodie and fell to the ground below. Tord ran for his life, with the unamused monster chasing close behind. Still screaming and running, Tord fired off a few more shots at the monster, which simply bounced off his body. Suddenly, Tord tripped over a pebble from the rubble of one of the destroyed buildings.

The monster jumped at Tord, and pinned the human to the ground between his hands. Tord squeezed his eyes shut, absolutely terrified of the giant monster holding him down. 'Please... I don't want to die!' He thought as tears started cascading down his cheeks, and he braced himself for the death the monster was sure to give him.
