[A/N: Heads up that I rped Tom in this story, and Pup rped Tord. Just so you know who to hate for what when the time comes~

Although this is the chapter where the story starts to diverge from the original rp lol]

Tom and Tord were nearly halfway back to Tom's home when Tord felt he needed to get something important off his chest.

"Tom...?" Tord asked, looking up at the monster carrying him.

"Yes?" Tom asked, glancing down at Tord but still keeping an eye on where he was running. He didn't want to bump into or trip over anything and drop Tord, after all.

"...Do you you remember yet?" Tord asked.

"Remember what?" Tom asked, confused.

Tord let out a sigh and changed his mind. "Never mind, I'll tell you when we get home." He said.

"...Okay?" Tom asked, still confused.

The two didn't share any other words until they arrived back at the old warehouse Tom called his home. Tom gently placed Tord down on his feet once they were safe inside the abandoned building.

"Thank you for carrying me." Tord said, then leaned over and kissed Tom on the cheek.

Tom instantly broke into a deep blush. "I-it was no biggy..." He stuttered, a goofy smile on his lips. "Um... what was it you were asking me on the way here?"

Oh, right. Tord had almost forgotten what he had wanted to ask Tom. He still wasn't completely sure he wanted to ask. "Do you remember it? The lab? The experiments?" Tord asked.

Tom slowly shook his head, having absolutely no idea what Tord was talking about.

"What about Doctor Lawson, or 3059T?" Tord asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No... But they do sound familiar." Tom said, trying to think about the names Tord had just asked him about.

Tord clicked his tongue. "Do you remember... how much you hate me?" Tord asked, pulling a red, funnily-shaped gun from his hoodie pocket. There was a small sticky note attached to the gun that read 'memory reviver gun'. in messy handwriting.

"Because I do." Tord said, the corners of his lips twitching.

Tom laid his ears back and growled at the gun Tord was currently pointing at his face. "What are you talking about?!" He demanded, completely at a loss as to what was going on. "I don't understand..!"

"I know." Tord replied calmly, and pulled the trigger on his gun.

The only way Tom could describe what he felt next would be to say that his head had been run over by a train. A blood-curling scream escaped his lips as he clutched the sides of his head and keeled over.

Tord simply watched on in silence as the half-monster was reduced to nothing more than a screaming ball on the ground. It only went on for about a minute, and soon the screams were replaced by a roar and loud growling.

Tom jumped up and charged at Tord, then pinned him against the wall by his throat. Rage burned in his blank eyes as his newly revived memories danced in his head.

Kind smiles and helping hands. A cage in a dimly lit room. The smells of antiseptics and other chemicals. Having friends. Being nothing more than another of Dr. Lawson's experiments. People who didn't judge him. The constant feelings of dread, loneliness, and terror. And the needles. God, how Tom hated the needles-

"You won't hurt me..." Tord's voice pulled Tom from his jumbled thoughts.

"You wanna fucking bet, Lawson?" Tom countered with a snarl, and tightened his grip around Tord's throat.

But Tom was admittedly struggling with his emotions at the moment. He knew he had strong feeling for Tord, but he didn't know why, and figured it must have been love. But having his memories back, Tom realized those feelings were actually an unfathomable hate.

Yet the love he felt for Tord still clouded Tom's mind. He didn't understand what to feel. Did he love or hate the human before him? Both?

"You... love me... right?" Tord asked, just wanting Tom to remove the clawed hand squeezing his windpipe.

Tom hesitantly let go of Tord and stepped away from him. He watched as Tord took a relieved breath and gently rubbed his neck.

"I'm leaving to find a new home since you destroyed mine." Tord said blatantly as he turned on his heels and started to walk off.

A hand wrapping around Tord's wrist stopped him from leaving. He craned his neck to look over at the grinning monster and a shiver shot up his spine.

"You always were difficult, Lawson. Don't think I'm just going to let you leave." Tom mused, tugging Tord by his wrist and pulling the human close.

"You won't hurt me..." Tord repeated his earlier statement. However, he wasn't as confident that it was true this time around.

"I'll hurt you real nice if you try to leave." Tom replied, followed by a low chuckle.

Tord squirmed slightly, wanted to get away from Tom. "Wh-what are you going to do with me?" He asked, suddenly realizing that he'd stupidly sealed his fate with the monster.

"Hm... I think I'll go back on that promise I made earlier about not keeping you in a cage. That's exactly the kind of place you belong." Tom answered.

In that moment, Tord also realized he was still alive. That meant Tom had most definitely not regained all his memories just yet, since Tord was definitely a dead man when Tom remembered that.

That just meant Tord had to get away, and quickly, if he wanted to escape with his life. Tord did not do all the things in his life just to be murdered in the clutches of a monster of his own creation.

Tord struggled against Tom's grip, and amazing broke free. However, this was only because Tom was still a bit preoccupied with the new memories flooding his brain.

Tord didn't think twice as he bolted away from the monster, not even bothering to look back once.

[A/N: So today we learned Tom and Tord aren't all what they seem >:3c
