The masked figure lunged with an inhuman like speed and threw me to the ground. I felt like I just ran into a brick wall. They fell atop of me, and from behind the mask, I heard a clicking sound as if they were trying to bite. I pushed out with all of my strength and just barely roll the way them away. The mask fell free from their face. I stood with my katana before me as more of those killed by Master Griffonhowl shuffled towards me.

I took a step back as the one with the mask off got back on their feet. They looked up, and I saw they were a man or may have been one, with dark veins running across his skin towards his eyes which were black with tiny red dots. He opened his mouth and let on animalistic screech before rushing forward. My instincts took over, and I unleashed Falling Blossoms, slicing across this chest. A thick black liquid oozed out, but he kept attacking. Even cutting off as arms did nothing to stop him. He did not even acknowledge the pain. I had one option. He lunged forward trying to bite my neck, and I swung quickly severing his head. The body dropped, but as the head rolled away, it continued to repeat the biting motion.

"What is going on?" I asked myself as I stabbed down in the head, stopping all movements. "Is this the beginning of the Ajemuha's rise?"

"No, it's not."

I turned around to see Xionian behind me, shaking his head at the dead approaching. "When did you get here?"

"I've been watching."

"So you did nothing to stop what's his face?" I asked as a fireball exploded near the far wall.

"I told got I couldn't be seen by those like Toreas." He laughed as I looked at him, confusion on my face. "What's his face."

"I don't get that, but I don't really have time." I gestured at the dead. "You said this had nothing to do with the Ajemuha right? Considering they are to bring about the end of the world, I would think that the dead rising is a start."

"I told you that you have been fed lies about the Ajemuha. What Toreas has done here is a forbidden zidici to not summon the Ajemuha, but to raise the dead. The last time this zidici was performed occurred before even the Baronofi Era. The Pahtan who created it was cruel. He sacrificing entire town, using the dead as his army."

"How do we stop it? I asked as an undead drew close, but ignored me. What in the world?

"Toreas must be killed otherwise the zidici will not end. The dead in here will kill and continue to create more. Severing the head will stop the body, but like you saw the head will continue to move until the brain is pierced. Your master should be more than enough to kill Toreas. Just do what you can to survive until then."

I started to respond when the undead turned towards me. I look to see Xionian, but he had disappeared. Who the hell is he? I thought as three more of the undead moved in. I unleashed Falling Blossoms Hurricane to server arms before going for the head. I severed the first two, but on the third, my blade got stuck in the undead's face. I tried to pull it free, but the Blazers jerk the end undead's head around.

The mask slipped free, and its red eye showed hunger as it tried to bite my hand. I was forced to let go of my weapon as the other one lunged from the side. Both creatures came at me, and it took all I had to dodge. I knew they were strong if they got a hold of me that would be it. I ducked down from a swipe from the one with my katana in its head, and the other threw me to the ground. I fell atop one of the undead I killed, but I could not get up fast enough. The creature fell on me going for my neck. I put my forearm on its neck holding it back as it bit at the air in front of me.

With my free hand, I searched around for some kind of weapon as the other creature started to fall upon me. My hand grabbed some kind of blade, and I swung up, burying the blade into the undead's ear. All motions stopped, the red eyes winked out like a flame. I threw the body aside as another grabbed my thigh. Panic filled me, and I felt the power flowing through me. I grabbed the hilt of my katana and jerked the creature's head back with such force I heard its neck scrap. The body went limp, and I managed to get to my feet. I gave the weapon a quick tug, and it came free with ease. I immediately stabbed the top of its head, stopping it for good.
