My eyes slowly opened and I found myself staring at the ceiling in my room back home. I slowly sat up, not sure how I ended up in my bed. The last thing I could remember, I knelt next to Master Griffonhowl's body as his life flowed from his wounds. I got out of bed and opened the door to see the underground city beneath Cinnar outside. I stepped out of the room and got hit by a wall of ice. I recovered quickly and saw Firri standing to the side, blood flowing from the strike from Xionian that killed him. Standing next to him I saw the two masked figures I fought before, one a charred body while the other's body was still contorted like it was when he hit the wall. All three had black eyes with red pinpricks.

"Murderer," they all cried shuffling forward.

"I didn't have an option!"

I felt weight at my hip, and there was a daikatana hooked to my belt. Firri led the attack. I drew the weapon and starred at the rusty and worn blade. I had no time to ponder it as Firri, and the two other two struck fast. I exchanged a few strikes before cutting them in two. Murderer escaped their lips before their bodies changed. Firri turned to ice and the other two changed to fire before they were absorbed by the blade.

The weapon shook in my hand, letting out a burst of wind that blew away the underground city, replacing it with the inn that I got attacked by the female Tateladad. She too cried out murderer, her eyes also black and red. Upon her death, she turned to ice and absorbed by the blade. The area changed again to the forest outside of Calari with the patrol group members crying murderer, followed by the masked man in the room with all of the caged people, and finally to the chamber with Toreas and the rest. Each time I took another life dust and shadows were absorbed by the blade increasing its weight.

My arms grew tired. Vearna appeared, but instead of crying murderer, she asked why I could not save her as he body was torn apart by an invisible creature. She never fell back but charged and attacked. Laughter came from behind me, and I turned to see Toreas holding his severed head laughing.

"The Ajemuha has risen! He stands in front me!"

"There is no one here but me!" I yelled cutting him in two.

"I know," he said laughing as he was absorbed.

I felt someone behind me and spun around swinging the blade with my eyes closed. I felt it slice through flesh and looked to see Faith and Drak falling back. Fire flowed from their wounds. I flung the blade away as it absorbed them. I wanted whatever was going on to go away. I fell to my knees, hands over my eyes, and felt the cold of steel on my neck. I looked up to see myself starring down, eyes black and red like the undead. My twin smiled, fanged teeth flashing. Demonic wings sprouted from his back and his skin became like bluish scales.

"You are weak and pathetic."

The demon before me pulled the blade back. I let out a sigh as the demon smiled before driving the blade into my chest. I screamed in pain, blood filling my mouth. I lost feeling in my body and looked down to see my limbs disappearing to a gust of wind that swirled around the blade. I continued to scream into the blade fully absorbed me.

At that moment I shot up, breathing heavily. I felt my chest, nothing was there. I looked around and saw that I had someone been returned to my room in Aleci's home. I leaped from bed, falling to a knee from how sore my body remained. A couple minutes went by before I could get up. I made my way to the door, slowly opening it. I fully expected to see a whole different place n the other side. When I saw that it was a hallway in her home, I breathed a sigh of relief.

I walked the halls looking for someone, hoping I still was not dreaming. I entered the dining hall where workers were finishing up replacing the windows broken the other night. I stared passed them though, staring in disbelief at the Dekari Tree. When we arrived, the tree stood tall with branches full of green leaves. Now it had a dark look of decay running up the trunk. The branches were full of leaves in shades of reds, yellows, and browns.
