Thirty-Seven

My eyes slowly opened and I spotted Xionian sitting on very the mound that I pulled forth the rusty daikatana. I sat up quickly and stared at him. "How did you get here?" I asked as I reached for the daikatana and that was when I noticed that the blade looked like some of the rust that had coated it was gone.

"Calm down Trez," Xionian said raising a hand. "Everything is going to be fine." He dropped to a knee. "My people were the ones who aided you back in Cinnar."

"What is going on?"

Xionian rose, dusting off his trousers. "There is a lot to be explained."

"Well can you start with what is going on here? How the hell did I get here from Cinnar?"

"The gods of this world have become tainted and are no better than demons. They have killed one of their own, the former God of Wind, Zavv in your former life."

"What are you talking about? I thought Zavv was evil and that is why he was killed."

"No that is just a lie that has been told to everyone by the gods to hide their dirty deed," Xionian said spitting to the side, and the look in his eyes sent a chill up my spine. "They killed him because he wasn't evil."

"I am so confused? What is going on?"

"To answer that I have to tell you about a war that raged on this world billions of years ago. A war between the gods and an army of demons led by a fallen god named Drozdyk. When Epawar had finally finished creating this world, Drozdyk broke free of Ihtanfunmt with his army. The only trouble to the gods was Drozdyk and the six powerful demons that helped lead his army."

"You are talking about the Ender aren't you?"

"I am in fact referring to the Enders. They were the strongest in all of Ihtanfunmt and referred to themselves as Enders for whole worlds were destroyed where ever they appeared. All six ruled over Ihtanfunmt, splitting it up after overthrowing the Netim. That was until Drozdyk appeared. They were no match for him, but he offered them the mortal realm if only they would combine their power with his and follow his commands. Of course, this offer got their attention, and they quickly agreed. So when they finally broke out, they intended to use Lehhyn as a 'stepping stone' to the rest of the mortal realm, but Epawar and his children were there to stop them.

"After a fierce battle, the gods were only able to seal away the six Enders, pulling their Ahanko from their bodies and sealing it into six orbs no bigger than a man's fist. They then used that power to fight Drozdyk, but they were only able to seal him away in a place where time has no hold. With the Enders, they sealed them at various points in the world and took the Orbs back to Rayjah.

"After that life started to flourish on the planet but from using the power of the Enders Epawar and the others slowly became corrupt without even knowing they were. They were continually backstabbing one another out of pure paranoia despite being family. Eventually, Epawar was not seen for many years and when he finally did return there was something different about him. He was evil.

"Zavv realized this and looked deep into his mind trying to find the answer as to why. That was when he came across a dark presence on his Ahanko. He realized that it was the same mysterious presence that was on the Orbs. He knew that it was due to their use in stopping Drozdyk. Soon his brothers and sisters changed just like their father. One day while he was searching for some way to overturn what had happened he was pulled deep inside of his own mind where a demonic version of himself waited. The demon attacked saying once he won he would have full control of their body yet Zavv wouldn't allow that to happen. In a hard fought battle Zavv was victorious, and the demon's Ahanko merged with his own nearly tripling what he already had.
