"Wait, slow down." You flail your arms because you had no other way to comprehend all that was happening. "So you are a bunny?"
He nods.
"That can turn into a human?"
He looks up and down himself, then back up at you with a nod.
"That's also the Easter Bunny?"
"Correct!" He jumps.
Your eyebrows furrow. "So, what's your name then?"
He sighs. "I never really had an actual name. I always went by just the Easter Bunny." His soft chocolate eyes look up at you. "But I like the name Kookie!" He smiles.
His bunny smile made you want to melt on the inside. It was too adorable.
You sit on the edge of the bed. "So, why are you at my house though? Easter isn't for another month."
He takes a seat next to you. His weight made the mattress sink, making you slide closer to him.
"You moved, so I had to map out your new place so I can hide eggs." He scratches his black hair as it shimmered in the morning light.
"How did you know that I moved?" You say. You don't know whether to think this conversation is creepy or cool.
He looks at you. "Well, I know where all the believers are. There aren't that many left." He sighs.
"Believers?"
He nods. "Yeah. This generation doesn't have that many believers anymore. There's like no one who thinks I'm real." His body stretches across the bed. His chocolate eyes flutter at you. "You're one of the few lefts."
You point to yourself. "Me? I mean, I do believe in you, but I assumed there are many more who believed too."
He shakes his head in disappointment. "Sadly no, I can only count a few hundred in the world." He sniffles. His eyes light up when he looks at you. "But then there is you trying to spread the spirit with Eun Ae. I wish there was more of that around the world."
He grabs ahold of your hands. "So thank you for that."
You ignore the fact that he knows your sister's name because you have already had enough things happen this morning that caught you off guard.
You grip his soft hands. "It's true. Kids these days don't believe in such things, Eun Ae is one of them." You sigh.
His bunny smile widens. "I bet you'll be able to make her believe."
"I hope so," You reply. "She's at school right now anyway, she should be back in a few hours."
He tilts his head. "Aren't you supposed to be in school?"
You shake your head. "I graduated early, so I work to support the apartment instead." You look back at him with a smile. "Hey, why don't we do something today? I got the day off."
He smiles. "Sure!" He jumps off the bed. He peers down to Jimin, who was still unconscious. "What about your boyfriend?" He points down at him.
Jimin lifts his head at you. "See! Even the talking bunny ships it!" He sets his head back down.
You step on Jimin's hand to keep him quiet.
"Ouch hey!"
"HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND AND HE IS FINE." You interrupt.
He chuckles. "My bad. From what I was hearing yesterday when I was in that cardboard box made me assume."
"See? He even predicted it!"
You press slightly harder down on his foot. You feel your cheeks burning up. "We slipped on ice!" You retaliate.
Kookie smirks. "Well, it didn't sound like you were doing anything about it."
That little furball... "Besides the point!" You jump topics. You look down at his abs. "Maybe put on some clothes before we go out," you chuckle.
Jimin slips his hand out from under your foot. "You won't go out with me, but you're going out with a magical bunny man!" He jumps to his feet.
Kookie looks down at his shirtless self and pajama bottoms. "Oh right!" He begins to run off but then freezes. "Yeah, slight problem. I don't really use my human form much. So... I don't have any clothes."
