"And when you're gone, I feel incomplete. "
~~~Paisley's POV
“OUT OF ORDER.” Read the sign hanging off of my apartment’s elevator door.
Well just great.
I head to the stairs, while grumbling profanities. I freaking live on the eleventh floor.
I slowly trudged up the stairs, stopping after every level. This really isn’t working out for me.
The sign for the eleventh floor finally came into view. I pulled open the door and walked into the corridor, cringing at the sound of the door slamming.
Another door across the hall was pulled open. It was my neighbor, Mr. Lee. He was a sweet old man with the biggest glasses, and the cutest dog.
“Paisley, just the girl I was looking for!” He smiled.
“Hi, Mr. Lee.”
“Do you think you could watch Oliver, for me? I have a hot date tonight.” He said with a wink. I couldn’t help but chuckle at his antics.
“I’d love to watch Oliver.” I said with a smile. Oliver was the cutest little beagle, but tended to be a little grumpy to those he didn’t know. Good thing he knew me, though.
Mr. Lee stepped aside, and Oliver went running out the door, straight over to where I was standing. He jumped up on my leg with his little tail wagging enthusiastically. I loved dog sitting Oliver, and have done so for a long time.
“Hey, Buddy!” I said in my dog voice (Everyone has a dog voice.), causing his tail to wag even faster.
“He’s already been fed, and let out, so he’ll be fine for the rest of the night. Thank you, Paisley.”
“Anytime, Mr. Lee.” I beamed. I unlocked my apartment and led the beagle into my room. I slid my backpack off of my shoulder and dropped it on my bed. Oliver jumped on my bed as well, and cuddled into a heap of pillows and blankets.
I walked over to my window and pushed it open, hoping it would cool down my room.
I sat on my bed with my legs crossed, and pulled out my Algebra binder from my backpack. I then yanked out my hellish homework.
Mrs. Smith had decided that she wanted her Algebra classes to try some Geometry problems, and the only thing I’m getting out of this, is that I hate circles.
I growled when I got the wrong answer again. An angle measure can’t be negative!
How do people even do math?!
“Hi Paize!” Shouted Spiderman as he stepped in my room through my window, causing me to let out a startled yelp. Oliver’s head shot up, then he started to crazily bark at Spidey, while jumping off the bed and running at him. Okay, he was very grumpy with strangers.
