"I've never fallen from quite this high, falling into your ocean eyes."
~~~Paisley's POV
"What are you drawing?" Asked Michelle. I was currently in second period art, and in my daze, Michelle had came and sat by me.
"What?" I asked, as I looked down at my sketchbook. I didn't even realize I had been drawing. Under my hand was a very detailed bottom half of a familiar face. Only bottom half, because I didn't know the rest.
"Uh, nothing." I answered. She shrugged, and turned back to her book. Okay then. I continued to draw him, slowly sketching a mask over the rest of the face.
"So... Spiderman?" She asked, causing me to jump.
"What? I don't know any Spiderman—what are you talking about?" I rambled. She snorted, interrupting my non--convincing rambling.
"You're blind." She stated with a slight smirk.
"Wait, I'm confused."
"Nothing." She shrugged. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, and then looked back down at my drawing.
I'm totally getting 'I know something you don't' vibes here.
The shrill ring caused the whole class to scramble up and out of the class. I pulled my backpack over my shoulder and held my sketchbook to my chest.
I paced into biology as soon as the bell rang. I sat at my lab table and pulled out my bio book, cringing at the ugly alligator on the cover.
"Today we will be continuing your partner projects, so go ahead and get busy." Ms. Warren stated. I looked over to Peter, to see him with earbuds in, staring at a computer. Ned had already left, so I started to slowly walk over to him.
This is going to be so awkward. He probably hates me from Flash's party. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. I looked over his shoulder to see a video of Spiderman playing on his computer.
That strange feeling of guilt swelled up inside me again, but I pushed it away. I have nothing to feel guilty for.
I placed my books on the table, and he jumped. His chocolate eyes snapped up to mine, and I felt the crimson blush making its way up to my face.
He closed his laptop and pulled the earbuds out of his ears.
"H-hi." I stuttered while mentally kicking myself. Now that I was looking at him, my brain kept forking replaying the kiss. Well, there goes my trying to get over it.
"H-hey." He greeted as well.
I sat on the metal stool next to him, and opened my biology book.
"S-so I was thinking a-about the project and maybe w-we could mention Thomson's experiments, as well?" I asked nervously. I looked up from the oh-so interesting book, so I could see his answer.
He was staring at me, looking kind of dazed. Um, what? Maybe he's imagining ways to murder me, so he'd never have to see me again. That would sound likely, but Peter is to nice for that.
"W-what?" He asked after I snapped my fingers.
"A little spacey there, aren't you, Peter?" I laughed. He suddenly looked so panicked, my eyebrows furrowed in even more confusion.
"I was asking if you wanted to mention Thomson's experiments in our project as well." I stated, trying to fix whatever I had said.
"O-oh, um, sure." He said.
I pulled out my computer, because Friday, Peter and I had decided on typing our information for our poster. My elbow hit my books, causing them to go barreling off of the lab table.
Peter was able to catch the bio book (I was very impressed.), but my sketchbook landed open onto the newest sketch. Well that's embarrassing.
He reached down before I could, and grabbed it.
"T-thanks." I stuttered as I tried to grab it from him before he could see my drawing. I don't really like showing people from my school my drawings. What if he hated them?
And he would probably question how I knew what half of Spiderman's face looks like. That is not a story I would like to tell. I haven't even told Ella, because it felt like my own little world.
Just me and Spidey. And if I told someone about us, it wouldn't be as special anymore.
Welp, to late. I watched in horror as he inspected the page. His eyes were wide, and his face was the darkest red I have ever seen.
I understand why his eyes widened, but not why he was blushing. I can't worry about that right now. I snatched the book from his hand while mumbling another 'thank you'.
The rest of the period went by with blushes and shy mumbling.
Ella and I finally stumbled out of history, and into freedom. I looked at her from behind my shoulder with a blinding smile."No more detention!" I shouted with a laugh. She chuckled along with me, letting out a whoop.
"I don't think I could handle another psa." She laughed. Ella then looked behind her, then slowly turned her head to me. She made the face she usually does when calculating a hard algebra problem.
Then a wicked grin formed on her face. That's never good.
"Pretty Parker is so staring at you." She (somehow) quietly squealed. My mouth gaped open as I stared at her.
"No way." I laughed in denial.
Despite my contradiction, my traitorous eyes wandered the hall. A small ray of hope rose in my chest.
My eyes suddenly locked with Peter's. Ella wasn't lying. He didn't even seem to know I was looking at him. He had a small tint of pink spread across his ears and freckled cheeks.
The staring went on, until his friend, Ned, nudged his shoulder. Peter looked over to him, looking confused. Ned said something in Peter's ear, causing his eyes snap back over to where I stood.
The small tint of pink in Peter's cheeks suddenly became full-fledged red. I smiled, moving my hand into a small wave.
He shyly waved back.
I turned back to Ella, who had a giant grin on her face.
"What?" I asked, despite knowing why she looked like the Cheshire cat.
"You guys were staring at each other for like three minutes. What do you mean 'what'?"
INFINITY WAR IS OUT IN SEVEN DAYS!!! I'M SO EXCITED!
Anyway 😂, I hope you all liked the chapter! So what I was thinking for after the story (that won't be for a while lol) was that I might do bonus chapters from Peter's point of view. Like the same story but just from his way of seeing things. Idk, what do you guys think?
