“It’ll just be three days, Liam.” Seems like she’s said that a hundred times the past hour.

“I know, baby and we’ll be fine. It’s kind of like you’re trying to reassure yourself. I know I can handle the triplets while you’re gone. We’ll miss you, but we’ll be okay until you get back. Just skype us before you go to bed at night.” She smiled and breathed a sigh of relief before placing a kiss on my lips and running past me to place a kiss on each of our little babies’ heads.

“I’ll miss you guys so much! Mommy loves you so much, babies!” She walked back toward me and placed one more kiss on my lips. “And mommy loves you, daddy.” She winked and grabbed her suitcase and headed out the front door. I turned to look at the kids playing in the floor. We had a set of five year old triplets. Two boys and a little girl: Ross, Racer, and Rose. This would be the first time I’d be left alone with them. I was nervous but extremely excited to have daddy time with them.

“Alright, guys! What’s first on the to-do list?”

“Let’s play football, daddy!”

“But I don’t wanna play football! I wanna play barbies!” Rose crossed her arms and gave me her best pouty face. Ross and Racer ran to grab the football. This was never an issue when Y/N was here. The kids always had someone to play with.

“Guys, let me play with your sister for a few minutes and then we’ll play a game of football in the back yard. Sound good?” Racer looked at Rose before sighing and throwing the football over to Ross.

“Fine. You always get your way, Rose.”

“Come on, Race. You know you’re going to get your time, too. But Rose doesn’t have anyone to play with while I play with you two. This way, she gets some playtime in with Daddy and then she can be our cheerleader when we play football, okay? Don’t be upset. I promise we’ll play.” The boys nodded their head. “How about you guys go out back and practice for a bit. You know you’re going to need it. Daddy is going to kick your butts!” They exchanged glances before running toward the back door.

“There’s no way you’re going to beat us, dad!” I laughed and turned to Rose who already had a barbie in her outstretched hand.

“Do I have to be the blonde one? I like the one with brown hair better!”

“Daddy! I like the one with brown hair!”

“Fine! I’ll take the blonde one.” She laughed and handed me the barbie after I sat down in the floor with her.

An hour later, the boys came back through the back door.

“Dad! We’re ready! Can you play with us now?” I turned to look at Rose.

“Its okay, Daddy! Can I be the cheerleader?” I nodded and tousled her hair before standing from the ground and bringing her up into my arms.

“Boys, let me go get your sister changed and ready for this game. I’ll be out there in ten and you better be ready!” They squealed and ran outside while I took Rose upstairs and put her in her little cheerleading outfit. “You ready, Rosey?”

“Yes, daddy!” I carried her back downstairs and outside before putting Rose down on the patio and joining the boys in the grass.

“Are you ready to lose?!” Racer threw Ross the ball and I let Ross glide right past me.

“Daddy, what are you doing? You’re letting them win!” Rose had her hands on her hips and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“It’s alright, Rose. I’ll get them!” This time when Racer tried to get past me, I gently tackled him and earned a groan from both him and Ross.
