Jin briskly walked down the hall of the hospital, slowing down when he saw Namjoon waiting outside the room for him. Namjoon looked up at him and greeted him immediately. "I just wanted to warn you, he's looking a little rough."
Jin looked over Namjoon's shoulder at the slightly ajar door behind him. "What's his name? How old is he?"
"His name's Yoongi and he's four. They just finished checking him over and he's good to go home with you." Namjoon moved to push the door open. "Just, prepare yourself." They slowly entered the room and Jin felt his heart drop at the sight of the little boy on the bed. scratches and bruises were littering his arms, and Jin was sure they covered his body under his clothes, too. As they moved closer to the bed, Jin noticed a group of bruises on the boy's ankle that was very obviously made by a hand grabbing him by the leg. "Yoongi," the boy looked up at Namjoon's voice, making Jin morbidly think that at least his face was free from any marring. The boy immediately hunched his shoulders and dipped his head as he saw Jin, somewhat resembling a turtle as he attempted to make himself smaller. "This is Jin, and you're gonna go home with him."
Jin stepped up to the bed, crouching down so he could be eye level with the young boy. "Hi there, Yoongi, I'm Jinnie." The boy didn't look up from his lap, but Jin didn't let that faze him. "I'm going to take you to my house, and then we can play a little bit before having dinner. Do you have a favorite toy or game?" Yoongi just shrugged in response, still not speaking. Jin hesitated before speaking again. "How about a favorite food?" Yoongi shrugged again. "Do you like chicken nuggets?" He watched Yoongi for a moment before noticing the smallest hint of a nod. "How about we have chicken nuggets for dinner? With french fries?" Yoongi nodded again, this time actually raising his head a bit. "Alright, you ready to go?" Jin stood up and held out his hand to help him down from the bed. Before they could leave the room, Namjoon handed Jin some documents. "What's this?"
"When they brought him here, they realized that there were no medical documents on him other than from his day of birth. They gave him as many immunizations as they could today, but obviously he couldn't get all of them, so these are the records of the ones he has received and then a document from the department of health exempting him from the rest until he's able to get them so that he can still go to a childcare facility."
Jin nodded before looking down at Yoongi, pity written all over his face. He tugged lightly at Yoongi's hand, making the young boy look up at him. "You ready to go?"

As Jin stopped at the last traffic light before his neighborhood, he glanced in the rearview mirror at Yoongi, who had still yet to utter a single word. He spent the next five minutes to his house going over in his mind how he was going to try to get Yoongi out of his shell. "We're here!" He exclaimed as he pulled into the garage. He gout out and opened the door for Yoongi, helping him out of his booster car seat before handing him the small bag of stuff DHS had collected from his house before removing him. "Alright, let's go on a little tour!" He took Yoongi's small hand and led him into the house through the garage door. "First stop, the laundry room." Jin hung his car keys on the rack hanging on the wall next to the door before leading Yoongi on through the house. "Do you wanna find your room first?" Yoongi shrugged again, causing Jin to have to decide. He lead Yoongi out of the laundry room and across the living room to the hallway with the bedrooms, the master bedroom directly on the left, a bedroom and bathroom on the wall directly across from the entryway, another bedroom at the very end of the hall, and the final bedroom across from the bathroom. "Okay, this first room here is mine," Jin pointed to the open door. "If you ever need anything, don't worry about if you're bothering me, you can walk right in. Now," he turned to look down at the rest of the hallway, a room on either side of them with the third bedroom all the way at the other end of the hall. "Since you're the only one here, you can choose which room you want." Jin slipped his hand from Yoongi's, nudging him slightly in the direction of the rooms.
