A creak on a door can be heard from opening as a mother and her two sons enter a vacant home. Window curtains were opened to let the sunlight in as one boy runs around with curiosity to look around. "Favian, watch your step" said the boy's mother as she sees her two children run around. She eventually told the boys to play in the yard as she was beginning to clean the home. Favian and his brother distracted themselves during the weather's sunlight and shades of clouds. Hours have passed as the boys toyed around with sport balls and tricycles coincidently left at the yard. "Hey, Chase, check this out" Favian calls out to his sibling to watch him ride the trike down the hill further from the yard and taking turns as the sun sets. "Boys! Time for dinner!" the boys sprinted in a quick contest to reach the door first as they bump into their father who just arrived. The family begins to eat their dinner as Favian says "This home is bigger than our apartment, I will miss it when we return." as the parents look at each other, realizing that it was time to break the news. "Favian, this is our home now! We have more space and a yard for you and your brother to frolic in." his mother speaks since empathy as the boy begins to pause his eating and stare at his place that he does not want to stay in this home. "But what about my Abuelos and my Tias?" :the second child, Chase said.

"For now, we have a home to ourselves, son, I want you to be happy." Favian's father tries to rest his hand on his shoulder as he makes a face of confusion and anger. Not wanting to stay here because he has family that he enjoys being around with, the boy hops off his chair to run upstairs as the parents slow their eating. Expecting this type of reaction, "Was this too sudden, Estrella?" "No, it wasn't, our son will eventually get used to it, I know I certainly did, Ramon" the parents spoke among themselves as Chase continued to make a mess eating as that rose some smiles. Night has fallen as Ramon walks the staircase to the attic to see his son staring out the window with a lone candle lit. His father kneels beside him to comfort "Have you heard any brooms knocking?" "....N-No, that old lady did lots of times..." "She did that to stop you from running because it made noise. Our apartment was small and we had to pay each month for it."

Favian ignores the rent portion as he remarks: "I don't want to leave tho, I like being close to family." "Hijo, we aren't leaving them behind, we are in the next level of our life." "Next level.. Like a video game, Dad?" "That's correct, this house is the next level and there's more levels coming up, but you can also go always go back." "So, let's go back now!" Ramon chuckles to himself with a shake to the head as he stands up to lift the window open for a clearer view of the landscape and town lights: "Favian, this is a big world, we can't always stay in the same place, I left home and had to work for myself. No one cooked or did laundry for me like your mother does. I want you to learn that going out there.. The outside means you have to be smart, make your own adventure, but don't forget about familia! Because they will be there for you."

Favian was breath taken by the view and his father's words repeated inside his head as he embraces his father for a hug. His breathing becomes slow as he shuts his eyes to fall asleep as his father holds him He hears some final sniffs from his son and dry eyes from tearing. His father soothed to see his son slowly understand their position.
