A Fantasy's Amenity (Prequel)

Where curiosity leads (Chapter 4)

"We're almost there! I can feel it!" "Yeah, yeah, they're close by!" a familiar Favian and careful Chase walk with their Mother as they're visiting their Grandparents Richie & Rosa. From their last encounter a couple chapters ago, you would think it's crazy these kids would be excited to see them, but that was the thing, they were excited for two others. "Favian, Chase! Whose our favorite booger eating nephews?" "The same ones that like being around cootie filled aunts called Jujies and Yanet!" Jujies flicks Favian by the forehead as he begins to chase her. The four begin to have fun around the street and front porch. Yanet watches her big sister, Estrella head inside with her parents and asks: "What do adults do together?" "Maybe having boring talks about being old and miserable!" Jujies and Yanet laugh as the two boys find a ball and begin to kick it up in the air. "Hey, who can kick the highest" Favian then says for a friendly competition as each child takes a kick at it until Yanet kicks it high enough that it gets stuck on a tree "Oops, sorry". Chase climbs up the tree to get the ball as he notices an abandoned home close by and he swore he saw a ghost pass by one of the windows, dropping from the branches quickly and somehow safely. "I just saw a ghost in that house!"

Jujies lead the group to head to the back door and kick it open as it was unlocked as Yanet questions. "Did you really need to kick it?" "Shut up, I could knock the door down if I wanted to" the group of children discuss who goes first as Jujies made it a competition of who can last longer inside and the winner gets chocolate creamy bar from the corner store. The four head inside to see a dark inside of the home filled with sounds of creak, spider webs and lots of dust. Favian heads to the Attic, Jujies checks the living room as Chase and Yanet walk together around the basement as they a thud from above as they rush out from fear. Some family paintings were uncovered in the attic by Favian as Jujies walks into some rooms to check cabinets as there is clothing inside them. The two gather up and head outside as Riche and Rosa come running due to Chase and Yanet tale telling as they are tugged by the ear.

It is later revealed that the house was burned down by the homeowners children as they accidently left the brick grill on which lead a trail to the home and the children continue to run off to the park until the parents pick them up and saw the home in that state. Richie and Rosa heard the story from neighbors and newspaper and stuck to being strict with their girls playing outside. The group of kids shared chocolate pops and began to talk about what they learned. "Do you really think that's what happened?" "What do you mean?" "I saw baby clothing earlier inside." "Yeah, and a family photo of two adults and a baby." "All we heard was a thud and we ran like crazy." "Yeah, it was scary tho..." "Oh well, we'll never know"
