Chapter 38

*Two months later*

Kendall and Amber were sitting at the table while Trent and Mackenzie were playing games in the game room.

"Why don't you guys join us?" Mackenzie called trying to convince her friends to play some games with her and Trent.

"Dude. Both of us have AP tests coming up." Amber shouted back returning her attention to her study book in front of her.

"Yeah, I need to pass. I'd rather not have to retake this class during college. So I kinda need to study." Kendall added before continuing to rewrite her notes.

"Why don't you guys take a break then? You guys have been studying for quite a while." Trent uttered looking at what Kendall was writing down.

"We've been studying for a while, but we need to pass." Kendall replied not even looking up from her notes.

"Yeah. I got two tests that I am not ready for." Amber sighed.

"Plus, if we take a break with you two, we'll never be able to come back to studying." Kendall exclaimed getting up to heat up more water for tea.

"If you two really want a nice place to study, you guys can try the library. It's the room across from the undercover." Campbell explained walking into the kitchen to grab something to eat.

"There's a library here?" Kendall called, surprised.

"Yes. Well, we did just get it installed." Campbell defended.

"Kendall... Let's go." Amber stated before picking her book up and walking out of the kitchen. Kendall grabbed her stuff and followed right behind Amber into the library.

"Well, I need to finish getting your next mission set up. So I will leave you two to your video games." Campbell uttered before turning to leave.

"Can you get those two away from their books long enough to give us a mission?" Mackenzie laughed. Mackenzie got a text from Kendall.

'We heard that.' It read. Mackenzie laughed as she showed Trent as well.

"Well, this mission can thankfully wait. It is a pretty flexible mission. So it can wait until those two are finished with their tests. After all, your school work is first priority." Campbell explained before walking out of the kitchen.

"Rematch?" Trent asked, standing up.

"You're on." Mackenzie stated walking with Trent to the gaming room.

*two hours later in the library*

Kendall was laying on blankets on the floor, pillows under her elbows and one earbud in. Amber was sitting in one of the desks, doing some review work on her laptop.

The library was a rather big room. Bigger than the undercover room, but not as big as the main room. It had three desks all up against the wall, two had computers. There were two walls lined with bookshelves that were nearly six feet high. There were two couches on the opposite side of the room from the bookshelves with lamps on the side of the room.

"Hey you two. Do you guys have time to help with the next mission that we have? It's a one day mission." Campbell greeted walking into the library.

"I should be able to. I should really take a little bit of a break." Kendall agreed standing up and placing her stuff on the other desk next to the one Amber was sitting at.

"Yeah, I got some time. I have the last AP test." Amber sighed placing her bookmark into her book and walking out of the library with Kendall.

"You're so lucky you have the last AP test. I have the first." Kendall called approaching the briefing room to see Mackenzie and Trent sitting on the couch.
