Living a Double Life

Chapter 7

"Fine. He goes to our school and is one year older than us." Mackenzie explained.

"And what's his name?" Amber asked.

"Layton Lowe." Mackenzie uttered.

"Wait that junior who's always sitting in the engineering room with some friends?" Trent blurted out.

"Yeah that's him. During lunch, he's almost always in the engineering room." Mackenzie exclaimed, blushing.

"Anyways," Trent started trying to change the subject.

"We should probably go get changed and start this mission." He added.

They all agreed and went to change into their outfits to wear. Kendall came out dressed in a cheer uniform and white sneakers, her hair up with a ribbon around her ponytail. Mackenzie came out in a t-shirt, skirt, leggings and some black high top converse with a beret on her head. Amber was dressed in a flannel with some jeans, her glasses and converse her hair in pigtails. Trent was wearing a gray hoodie with some jeans and Nike running shoes. He had a pair of headphones around his neck and computer glasses on his head. Drake had a football jersey on with some black sweatpants and some Nike shoes. Right as they were about to get ready to leave, Agent Campbell walked into the room.

"Well, don't you all look ready to go on your mission." Campbell exclaimed looking at everyone.

"One thing, please tell me Drake doesn't have to play football." Kendall asked, concerned.

"No he doesn't. The season is taking a break since a ton of players are currently out sick right now." Campbell reassured Kendall.

"What? I'm fine to play." Drake stated.

"You are not fine to play. You already have a permanently cracked ankle. I really don't want you to be even worse." Kendall explained kissing him on the cheek.

"Anyways, you all will start school there tomorrow. We also added some information to the undercover room." Campbell explained, bringing everyone to the undercover room.

There were pictures hung everywhere in everyone's closet space. Polaroids, normal 8 by 10s, and collages. They walked back to their respected closet. They looked at all the pictures.

"These are the people's friends they normally hang out with. One thing that is good about this group of teenagers is they are all somewhat friends. They aren't the closest of friends, but they are good friends to each other. So if any of you are seen together, it seems normal." Campbell exclaimed turning his back to the five teens.

"Also you all will need to stay the night in the base located near by to you." Campbell said.

"How are we going to get there and have enough time to sleep? Its almost midnight and we're at least an hour away from the other base." Trent stated, stepping forward.

"We figured someone would say that." Campbell started. Campbell walked to a wall and turned around to face the teenagers.

"What exactly are we looking at?" Amber uttered.

"This wall is a secret tunnel to your base. It reduces the time distance from your base to this base." Campbell said pushing a certain part of the wall. The wall opened up and exposed a hidden pathway.

"Well that was unexpected." Mackenzie uttered, shocked.

The teenagers looked at each other and Trent stepped forward to lead them through the pathway. They walked through the passageway. After twenty minutes, they reached the other base. Amber, Mackenzie and Trent slept on the couch, with their feet propped up on the coffee table. Drake and Kendall sleep in the love seat together.

*time skip to the next morning*

Drake was the first one up. He got up at 5:30. Drake looked around and everyone else was still asleep. Trent was the next one up, waking up at 5:50. Trent got up and got dressed for the day. Kendall was the third one up. She woke up at 6:10. Kendall walked into the undercover room, got dressed in her cheerleader outfit and put her hair up in a ponytail with her bow. She walked back out to see Amber and Mackenzie still asleep. Kendall walked over to the others so she can wake them up.

"Amber, Mackenzie. Wake up. You need to get ready for today." Kendall said, shaking Mackenzie and Amber. Amber woke up and started to get ready, but Mackenzie was still asleep.

"Mackenzie! Wake up!" Kendall yelled, scaring Mackenzie as she fell off the couch.

"Ok! Ok! I'm up!" Mackenzie slightly yelled, getting off the floor. She walked to the undercover room to get changed. Amber walked out of the undercover room in her outfit.

Kendall, Drake, Trent, and Amber waited for Mackenzie to get ready. It was 6:50 when Mackenzie finally walked out to the living room.

"It's about time, Mac. We could have been late had Kendall not woken you up." Amber stated, getting up from the couch.

"Amber, you can't really say anything. I had to wake you up too." Kendall said sarcastically to Amber.

"Well, let's just get to school before we actually are late." Trent said walking out of the base.

They all arrived at the campus and pulled out the schedules Campbell gave them in their files. They all sat at a picnic table and sat down. They talked for about twenty minutes when the bell rang. Kendall stood up and kissed Drake on the cheek. The others got up as well and had to go their separate ways for their first mission.
