*back at the base*
"Hello Trevor, I am Agent Smith. Agent Campbell told me I am to take you to this masquerade ball for your mission, correct?" Smith greeted looking at Trevor who was sitting down on the couch with Trent.
"Correct." Trevor reassured.
"Very well. Ready to go?" Smith asked.
"Yup. I'll see you later Trent." Trevor waved and left with Smith.
*almost to the ball, in the limo*
"We're almost at the ballroom. Campbell told me to give you this." Smith stated handing Trevor a black watch with a gray background behind the clock of the hands.
"There is an added button on the side of the watch that you will press once your mission is complete and I will pick you up behind the ballroom." Smith explained as Trevor placed the watch on his wrist.
"Will do." Trevor uttered adjusting his tie as Smith pulled up to the ballroom.
Trevor exited the limo and thanked Smith for the lift. He walked out and handed his invitation to a man who was waiting by the entrance. Trevor walked in and went straight for the drink bar. He ordered himself a root beer and thanked the bartender upon receiving his drink. He wandered around trying to find his target. After about ten minutes, he finally found the target he had been trying to find for some time sitting down at a table near the side of the room. The band on stage had started playing a slower pace song and Trevor figured it was time for him to try and take out his target.
He looked for the smoke grenades that Kendall gave him to use. He walked to the wall that was away from everyone and grabbed a smoke grenade. He pulled the release on the grenade and tossed it towards the stage at the back of the ballroom. People starting panicking and security started coming in. He pulled out his gun and took out his target. He pulled the trigger and killed the target that was sitting down. He rushed away from where the target was sitting to see more security running in because of the gun shot. Trevor was about to halfway to the back where Smith told him to go when he ran into a security guard who grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Hey, where are you going?" The security guy asked gripping Trevor's shoulder.
"Oh, just outside for some fresh air. This smoke is giving me a headache." Trevor stated holding his head and putting on a fake accent.
"No one is to leave the building due to the gun shot. This makes you look like you have something to do with the gun fire or the smoke." The security guard stated gripping Trevor's arm tighter.
The guard started looking through his jacket for anything. The security guard searched his jacket and found his gun. Right as the guard was about to call for help, another gun shot was heard and the security guard that was holding Trevor's gun was on the floor with a shot right through his chest. Trevor grabbed his gun from the guard and ran to the back. While running to the back, he pressed the button on his watch like Smith had told him to. He ran and when he got to the back, Smith was there waiting for him. Trevor hopped in the back of the limo and Smith drove away from the ballroom.
*back at the base*
"Thanks for driving me there and back Agent Smith." Trevor exclaimed as they approached the base.
"Trevor, just call me Smith. No need to be all formal. And any time kid. It's part of the job." Smith stated as they drove up to the base.
Trevor exited the limo and entered the base to see Kendall on the couch with Trent.
"Hey Trevor." Kendall greeted and got up to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey man, how'd the mission go?" Trent questioned.
"Decently. I'll have to explain what happened. It was really weird. Let me change out of this though." Trevor sighed and left to change into his normal clothes.
*some time later*
"And that's what happened." Trevor sighed finishing up explaining what happened on his mission.
"That's pretty weird. Like someone knew you would be there and might need help." Kendall uttered.
"Yeah, pretty good timing though." Trent added looking at Trevor.
"Anyways, I think I'm gonna head to sleep. Night you two." Trent yawned and went to his room to sleep.
"Night Trent. Anyways, how was training the newbies?" Trevor asked looking at Kendall who's head was on his shoulder.
"Was alright. They weren't amazing, but they got some potential." Kendall added looking up at Trevor.
"You have a bruise on your arm." Kendall stated looking at Trevor's arm.
"Yeah, from the security guard. He had a pretty strong grip on my arm." Trevor sighed looking at his arm before he yawned.
"You should go to sleep. It's clear you're tired." Kendall exclaimed looking at Trevor who was already half asleep.
"Fine, I'll see you in the morning Kendall." Trevor called before giving Kendall a kiss on the head and getting up to go to sleep.
Kendall decided to go to the music room and mess around in there until she was tired. She was editing some music that she did when Campbell walked into the room.
"Does he suspect anything?" Campbell questioned as Kendall turned around to face Campbell.
"I don't think so. But I could be complete wrong. He hasn't said anything so I am willing to say he doesn't know." Kendall uttered.
"Are you planning to tell him that person who saved him was you?" Campbell asked leaning against the doorframe of the music room.
"I don't think so. I just don't want him getting into any danger since he's so new to this whole scene of things. I think once he can complete some missions without causing any unnecessary attention to himself is when I will stop going on those missions to watch his back." Kendall explained looking at Campbell.
"You really do care about him?" Campbell uttered.
"Of course I do. I think it's just because when I go out with the other three, I can watch their backs at all time. But with Trevor being a lone agent, no one can watch his back. So being his girlfriend and a decent agent if I do say so myself, I feel obligated to go out on my own and watch his back." Kendall sighed.
"Understandable. I believe the next mission you four go out on, I will be sending Trevor with you four. I may need all the agents in that mission I can get." Campbell interjected, thinking about the next mission.
"Well, we're always down for a mission, we just can't stay here much longer, winter break ends this coming weekend." Kendall informed.
"Yes, I am aware. It will probably be tomorrow night or the following night. Not quite sure yet." Campbell exclaimed.
"Well, we're here. Up to you when you send us out. Just tell us where, when, and what we are to do, and we're off." Kendall chuckled, leaning back into the chair in the music room.
"Yes, I think I may tell you all tomorrow morning and then start that night." Campbell thought out loud before waving and saying good night to Kendall.
Kendall started getting tired and decided to walk to her room. Closing the door and lying down on her bed, she plugged her phone in and changed into her pajamas. She sat on her bed and leaned back to just stare at the ceiling before drifting off to sleep.
