Living a Double Life

Chapter 68

"Where did it all begin?" Kendall restated to Andrew who nodded his head.

"Well, it's a long story, but you have to promise me you won't tell anyone." Kendall stated.

"I swear on my life. I just want to know what the hell I just walked into." Andrew exclaimed.

"Well, the four of us were in class and got a weird letter from the guy who stormed into our dance. That's C. He's the one who wanted us here." Kendall started putting air quotes around the word "wanted."

"Why the air quotes?" Andrew asked.

"I'll explain later in the story." Kendall reassured. 

*an hour later*

"Woah. You guys really have done a lot for being only 17, 18 years old." Andrew exclaimed. 

"Yeah, a little bit." Kendall awkwardly chuckled.

"So what's next for you guys? Since we graduate in like two weeks." Andrew questioned.

"Well, I'm not sure about the others, but me and Trent are going community college. Mackenzie is enlisting and Amber is going down south. So who knows what the future holds." Kendall sighed shrugging her shoulders.

"Man, you guys really have been living a double life." Andrew exclaimed.

*time skip*

"Thanks for checking him out again S." Kendall thanked Smith. 

"Anytime. I'll take him home now." Smith added. 

"Thank you." Kendall exclaimed as Smith led Andrew out to the car since Andrew had a blindfold on to keep the mysterious location of the base. 

Kendall walked out and changed out of her ball outfit to hear her friends walking into the room.

"Hey K. How was Andrew?" Mackenzie asked.

"He was fine. Smith just took him home." Kendall chuckled.

"Oh nice. Well I think I might go home. Any one else is welcome to join me for the drive back." Amber replied before heading towards the exit.

All her friends decided to join her for the drive home. Trent got dropped off first, then Mackenzie, then Kendall. They all got home, changed out of their clothes and prepared for bed. Trent was the first one to head to sleep. Kendall, Mackenzie and Amber were taking their makeup off and ended up falling asleep around the same time as each other.

*a few weeks later*

The teenagers found themselves back at the base as Campbell had called them back for a important conversation in his words.

"Feels weird to be back. We graduate in literally like a week from now." Amber exclaimed. 

"I feel ya, what are we gonna do once we graduate?" Kendall exclaimed.

"Well, I suppose that decision is up to you four." Campbell stated popping up on the TV screen.

"The decision is yours. You can either decide to leave, or stay but be based somewhere else." Campbell explained.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I probably will leave. If I join the navy, there's no way I'll be of any help." Mackenzie sighed looking at her friends.

"Yeah, and I really don't want to worry about this while at college. So I probably will leave as well." Amber added looking at Trent and Kendall.

"And you two?" Campbell questioned looking at Kendall and Trent.

"We haven't really thought about it. We're both going to community college for at least two years." Kendall called.

"I'll stay if you stay." Trent offered looking at Kendall.

"Well then, Campbell you got half the team still." Kendall reassured.

"Perfect, once you guys graduate, Mackenzie and Amber will go by different names and you two will continue as a duo." Campbell exclaimed.

"How will our friends know it's us if they saw what happened at ball?" Amber exclaimed.

"Well, we wiped everyone's memory. And all we have to do is implement your new names." Campbell exclaimed.

"Cool." Mackenzie laughed.

"So now what?" Trent asked.

"Well, with your graduation coming up, I am not giving any of you missions in fear of injuring you guys before a very important date." Campbell added before disappearing off the screen.

"Cool. I think there's a senior event tomorrow morning." Amber exclaimed walking out of the room with her friends.
