Come on, come on, answer the phone ...
Sophie finally answers the phone "What is it?" And I can't help but roll my eyes at the impatience in her voice but I decide to tell her everything instead of giving her crap about how she answered. I tell her about how the whole school is talking about what went down in the cafeteria earlier with Colten and Hunter. I can tell without being near her that she's tapping her fingers against her leg waiting for me to get to the point so I hesitantly move along with my news. Colten has sworn to get her back by any means necessary, even if that means taking the pack from her and killing Hunter.
Sophie lets out a long low growl into the phone and a soft whine escapes my throat as her alpha side shows and I know my sister will fight at any cost to protect what is hers. Her voice is cold as ice as she tells me thank you before hanging up. My blood chills as I realize what has just begun and I've never been so glad that I'm not the Alpha.
