My Unrest Mind

Its not so that I don’t believe your existence
But I fear you O’ Lord.
Yes, you are punishing me
But I feel its too much.
Could you please tell where did I fall from grace?
And even if you tell what could be done,
When everything is looted.
Is it for the reason I did not pray you then
But rather helping the needy?

My beloved
Its feels so low, so hopeless everyday
Where I see death as only remedy and only answer
I eat food but it never reaches my stomach with ease
I drink water but throat always remains dry
I breathe but never feel freshness

My Lord
In what kind of exam had you made me sit
Where failure is the only way to pass,
But I do not want to fail.
Forgetting my love is the only way but I do not want to.

My beloved
My pen had cried more than I did
It had shed ink of blood,
But it failed to give you the message of my pain.
What made you blind? I think but can’t ask you
Ah! What a pity on me.

You said you care for me,
Did your care make you ignore me?
You said you loved me,
Did your love make you leave me drowning?
What made you do so?

You said my happiness is your first priority,
Did your priority make you said, “I do not need you”?
Did you love me because you needed me?
And now that you don’t need me you don’t love me, is it so?
I need you because I love you.

If you want to see smile on my face,
Do take away my life the same way you took away your love,
And make the smile permanent on the photographs.

O beloved
You said you never loved, you never said you did.
When did your words become important than deeds?

You kissed,
You held my hand,
You held me close to your breast
And you said “just as a friend”.
Before the world could name it lust
Tell me what were you up to?

On telling you, “I am suffering”
What made you answer, “What suffer, did I sleep with you?”
Is love all about flesh?
Doesn’t it have anything to do with soul?
Have pity on my faith, answer me
Don’t let me to demean love,
Don’t let love to be defined a trait of flesh.

Now that you don’t answer
I realized
It was the same window
Through which we both looked through
But I looked the birds,
Building their nest.
Imagining their future and ours too,
And you looked at the horizon
For the sun to set,
The time to pass
For me to leave

My fellow friend on this shrine earth,
Do not love for days,
Love the one to the grave.
