*The definition of Narrative text is imaginative story for entertain many people. It can be spoken or written language.
*Generic structure of Narrative text :
1. Orientation
Is it opening of story. Description something, such as : people, animal, etc.
2. Comflication
Is it problem started.
3. Resolution
Is it problem solved.
*Narrative text use simple past tense (teks naratif menggunakan tenses masa lampau)
Rumusnya adalah :
Subjek + V2 + objek
Example :
She went to Surabaya yesterday.
(Jika diberi keterangan waktu, maka gunakan keterangan waktu yang lampau. Misalnya kemarin, satu Minggu yang lalu, satu bulan yang lalu, atau satu tahun yang lalu)
*Example of Narrative text :
"The Rabbit and The Turtle"
Once upon a time, the rabbit so arrogant to the turtle. The turtle is angry.
"Hello, turtle. Let's go to runned with me. I'm sure if i Will be the winner, and you only lost." Said the rabbit.
"What you say? Ok, tomorrow we Will take a race."
And then tomorrow....
The rabbit and the turtle runned together. The rabbit runned fastest than the turtle.
"I'm so sleepy. I want to sleeping now. I'm sure i Will be the winner." And then, the rabbit sleeping. She is very arrogant.
One hour later....
The turtle look the rabbit is sleeping. The turtle runned and runned....and then the turtle is be the winner.
"OMG... I'm lost." Said the rabbit.
So.... don't be arrogant people dear 😉
