Life with Loki

Chapter 1 ~ Beginning

"Come on Loki! You're gonna make us late!" you giggled as you tried to get out of bed.

"Oh come on now. Just a little longer love." Loki pleaded as he pulled you back down onto the bed.
He pecked your cheek. You stared lovingly into the bright, brilliant, emerald green eyes of the raven haired prince. Many years ago you looked into those same eyes and saw anger, hate, and resentment. But you had seen something else too. Hurt and just the slightest flicker of humanity. Ever sense then you always believed in Loki. Believed he could be something more. And you let him know it too. Every damn day you told him.
At first, he laughed and mocked. But as time grew on, he grew warm towards you. You never knew exactly what or how it had happened, but one night he told you he was ready to make a change...he wanted to make a change with you. And he had, both he and you moved on together past the dark times. Now, you were living together on earth. You had decided that was the best place to make amends by helping the Avengers whenever they needed. Although Loki was reluctant at first, he eventually agreed because he knew you you were right.
Now here you were, laying in bed with the love of your life. Now, you saw love and that glint of mischievousness that would never leave his eyes. Though, if you were honest with yourself, that mischievousness is the main reason you fell for him.

"Alright, times up. We really have to go now." You kissed him and managed to jump out of bed before he could pull you back down.

"Must we?" Loki sat up in bed revealing his bare chest. You blushed. "Of course we do! We haven't seen Heimdall in ages!"

"So?"

You shot Loki a look "He's like a father to me. I'm going to go. You don't have to come if you really don't want to."

Loki got out of bed and put on some black slacks and a dark green shirt. He put his arms around your waist and pulled you close "I'll go," He said sweetly in your ear "Just for you."

"Heimdall!" You yelled as you gave him a great big bear hug as he got off the ship. "How was it?"

"Positively frustrating" he said lightly as he hugged you back "Of course, I couldn't expect less. It's not easy finding a new planet to live on."

"Oh, well did you find one?" you asked curiously.

"Oh yes. It's not like Asgard but nothing ever was." Heimdall looked at you "Enough about me, hows your year been?"

"It's been just fine." You smiled as you looked over at Loki.

"Ah yes, Loki." He walked towards Loki and shook his hand "You've taken good care of her, I presume?"

"Yes of course" Loki smiled "Very good actually." He said as he put an arm around you.

"Hem hem," Heimdall took your hand and pulled you out of Loki's grasp "So, were are the others?"

"They're at Stark Tower, they said they were making lunch and to come over whenever you got here."

"Well, best not keep them waiting" and with that Heimdall pulled you off too Stark tower before Loki could grab a hold of your hand.

"Well it's about time." Tony teased as Heimdall, Loki, and you walked into the kitchen. "And here I was hoping you'd ditch us. Ow!"

Steve elbowed Tony "Hey guys, come on in. I'll go let the others know your here."

"Heimdall!" Thor came and gave him a hug "How's the search going?"

"Well, we found one that seems suitable."

"That's great! And your doing fine still? The stress isn't getting to you is it?" Thor said

"Not really. You tend to worry about things less as you grow older."

"Yeah, that makes sense." Thor thought about it "But, your not that old....How old are you anyway?"

"Oh don't worry about it, it's only your brother and his girlfriend" Loki teased Thor.

"Well if you insist." Thor replied with a smirk. Loki rolled his eyes "How's it going brother? Have you...you know.." Thor asked trying to keep his voice low and avoiding eye contact with you.

"No not yet you buffoon!" Loki said sharply

"Guys, You know I'm right here right? I can hear you." You said.

"Oh there you are! Didn't see you there" Thor joked "How are you Lady (y/n)?"

"Good, your brother is driving me crazy tho" You said playfully

"Oi! I do-Oh wait, yup. I do drive you crazy. It's my handsome demeanor that simply drives you crazy isn't it love?" Loki said beaming

"Ha!" you almost snorted your milk "That's one way to put it."

The other Avengers entered the room and said hi to everyone. You were so distracted catching up with Natasha that you didn't notice that Loki and Heimdall had slipped out of the room~
