Tale of the Moonlight

The couple in the moonlight was standing next to one another, silently share each other's thoughts. A soft sigh escaped from the shorter boy's lips, as he shakily holding on the gazebo wooden bar.

"You do realize that i will never forgive what you did, don't you? that i will continue hating you and someday might be your doom?" Under the moonlight his face look so pale.

The other man smiled gently. His hand reach out to another's, lacing their fingers together. He look at Onew's hurtful expression, had to suppress his instinct to kiss and hug the boy tightly.

"I understand, Booin yah. You can have everything that is me if it's your desire. Anyway, do you know what i really need from you?" Changmin asked Onew softly.

"Kind to tell me? As far as i know you're only interested in making me your bed warmer at night." Onew said, instantly followed by crisp laughter from Changmin.

"Then you certainly need to let me get close to you. We need to get close, Booin yah...you and i, we are bonded now. I know that you're not obliged to love me, that is something that i must do..but at least open your heart to know me in person, not the 'Me' as an Emperor. I will, too, love you and cherish you for the rest of my life as my dear half soul."

Changmin spoke in a carefully chosen words, punctuated every needed tone, and in a very polite manner. There was a sheer chi current surrounding him, radiated warmly around them as if he wanted to protect Onew using his power. Afterall, Changmin possessed the most powerful soul powers in the kingdom, which lead him to the throne.

"Booin yah, as you know, i govern with my brother Yunho. As a second child, i never had any dream about this throne in my whole life, but fate carried me to this path of life. It is hard for me, i came unprepared, and i would like to share some of my burden with the one i love...I know i would sound pathetic, but if i could trust my heart to somebody i think i can survive longer. I am not that strong person who can lift an Empire in my shoulder by myself, but i promise that i will do my best for the sake of my people's wellbeing."

Changmin stop his words, looking at his soulmate before continuing what he had to say.

"And i chose you, my dear Onew. Heaven chose you. The elder chose you. I know i will go to hell for what i've did to your family, but at least that is what i have to do to get you. I just can't let you slipped away from me. Someday you will understand, amidst your hatred, the reason behind my action. I am not going to deny or defend myself, it is a futile attempt on my side."

A soft sigh was heard, it was Onew. He look up the sky, the pearl aqua moon was shining brightly above him, so big that it seem he could touch it.

"We need you, I need you, my love. Please govern this land with us, we can't make it alone with just the two of us brothers. This Empire is still young, it needs a lot of help to nourish it. Be the mother of this Empire, be by our side. Tonight i will properly beg of you, to take me as your rightful husband, be the shelter from myself and a wall for me to lean on...please accept me..."

With that, Changmin kneeled on his knees and put his sword infront of him as a sign of complete surrender. Onew was so shocked that he covered his mouth with his hands, avoiding a strangled voice which was threatening to come out. When no reaction was coming out from Onew's side, Changmin slowly lowered his head to bow down until his head touches the floor of the gazebo.

Onew was shaken. It was so sudden. Never in his whole life he received such kind of honor. Tears are flowing freely into his face for God knows how many times.

An ages must passed when Onew's legs finally gave out, he fell on the floor, sobbing hard letting all his wounds re opened in front of Changmin.

"I hate you!! I truly, truly hate you!! give me back my dad, my brothers, my kinsman!! I'll kill you now Goddamit!!" Onew took the sword which laid in front of the man, and pointed the bare sword into Changmin.
