I groan as soon as I open my eyes. Great, I'm hungover. I close my eyes and shift to my side groaning at my already painful headache. My head feels like it weighs a hundred pounds. I squeeze my eyes shut and then open them trying to get used to the light.
"Here babe" I hear Austin say beside me my vision still a bit blurry. I blink a few times more. I look up finally to see Austin holding two pills, which is what I'm guessing is pain killers and a glass of water. Without saying anything except for a groan, I sit up grabbing the two small red pills and the water. I swallow both pills at the same time with a gulp of water.
"Thank you" I say quietly handing Austin the glass back then lying down. I groan again and I hear Austin chuckle. I feel the bed dip then two arms wrapping around me and pulling me towards a body. I hum in content knowing that it's Austin.
"Today's my last day" I say almost in a whisper. I didn't want to leave that's for sure, but I had work and school. I couldn't afford to miss any classes, it's my last semester before I graduate.
"I know" Austin mutters. I turn my body to face him.
"Let's just enjoy the last day together here just the two of us." I say to him leaning up to give him a kiss.
We pull away looking at each other smiling softly. I hear my phone buzz twice, I pull out of his arms to reach and grab my phone. I look at my phone. It's a text from Mack I scan the text then quickly reply okay and put my phone back on the side table.
"It was Mack texting me, they are going out all day so we can hang just the two of us" I say looking at Austin.
"Well what should we do?" Austin says smiling with some stray strands of hair in his face.
"Honestly, I was thinking just staying in and just enjoy each other a bit longer before I leave" I glance down sadly trying not to let a tear out of my eye.
"Don't be sad baby please" Austin says putting a hand on my cheek. There's sadness in his voice aswell.
"Let's go downstairs watch some movies, you choose. I'll make you food and then we can order food from anywhere you want. " Austin says trying to cheer me up.
"Okay but I'm not changing out putting on pants" I say monotone
"Hey, you'll be hearing no complaints from me" Austin says winking at me.
I sit up and rub my eyes then saunter to Austin's bathroom and brush my teeth and hair. Once I'm finished in the bathroom I go downstairs to meet Austin.
"Choose the movie I'll just be in the kitchen" Austin says as I walk to the couch directly in front of the television.
I turn on the TV then go into the Netflix app. I search through movies finally deciding on watching Indian Jones Raiders of The Lost Ark
I wait for Austin to start the movie. I scroll through Instagram casually liking things and seeing what people from my high school are doing with their lives. I make a mental note to text a few of them to keep in touch and maybe organize a brunch or dinner with all of them to catch up.
"You like Indiana Jones?" Austin says in disbelief. Startling me a bit as I didn't hear him walk in
" uh yeah of course I do" I say in a sassy tone
