With bright blue streaks,
Above the mountains peaks,
You dance with your rays,
Reminding us of happy days. You twinkle, you shine,
You sprinkle, and move in-line.
Your streaks across the sky,
Are like peaks of mountains, dazzling, way up high.Oh, how you dance,
And how you prance,
In a rhythmic motion,
Like waves across the ocean.Your light sparkles,
And glistens, like a diamond from Periwinkles.
You come out when the sun is gone,
And dance for all to see, above our lawn.I am baffled by your light,
That so rarely shines at night.
How I long for your lines,
Of blue and green, like spring pines,
Your streaks of red,
That come out, when it's time for bed.Your magical beauty, beholds,
A sight that unfolds,
And reveals your wonder,
Like a bolt of lightning before the thunder.I love your colours,
Like a bed of spring flowers.
Like a song, that's ours,
You hang there, as if by magical powers. The light you cast,
Leaves me always aghast,
About how your surreality
Glistens and glows, with light filled with immorality.Still, you'll never know,
Just how I feel about your, light show,
As your just dancing bars,
That I often find myself, glancing at, from fars.Until we meet again,
Let me tell you this, my fren,
I will miss your streaks,
Soaring high, above the mountain peaks.I will miss your light shows,
And how each bar glows,
With your wonderful amazement,
That glow, for my amusement. How your light rarely shines,
With specs of flashing particles,
That always blows my mine,
With the way your rows, intertwine. With many wonders you may hold,
To many secrets you might keep,
Your story always fascinates me,
And moves me, from the deep. The way your golden, mystical light glows,
To the majestical, unrealistical shadows you create,
You will always have me in awe,
Cause you are, the northern lights.Poetry©Nolan_LaValley®™08/05/2018®™©
To start off, I purposely misspelt words so they'd still make sense when said out loud, but fit in with the rhyme without adding extra sounds. I did this for a couple of reasons, 1. Because I can, and 2. Why not? Lol. Just wanted to talk about it before grammar police got a say. :-D
Well...this poem was 325 words long....and completely about this magical wonder known as the aurora borealis, or the Northern Lights. I hope you liked it, and please don't be a silent reader :XD
