A Year Later

"Ayoooooo!"

"Move that shit out the way!" I shouted laughing. I walked inside of the coffee shop and sat at the table with my two gay friends Joey and Shawn.

"Crackle, snap and motherfucking pop!" Joey said snapping his fingers. "Where have you been?"

"Yeah, had us sitting here like we are some fucking loners or some shit." Shawn agreed.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. Mr. Marshall told me to wait after class."

"For what?" Joey asked. "You know his old ass looking for a sugar baby. Maybe it's you."

"Oh please. He can take his old black ass on somewhere!" I said fanning myself.

"I swear it's hot out here." Joey said picking up his fan and flicking his wrist back and forth wildly.

"You hit me with that fan I'm going to whoop your ass and send it back to you for nineteen-ninety-five plus shipping and handling." Shawn said rolling his neck and his eyes.

I began laughing really loud and couldn't help but bend over in my chair and hold my stomach. I ain't never heard some shit like that before. He's on bullshit right now.

Shawn and Joey were best friends and I met them a while ago when I first moved into my dorm room. They stayed in the girls dorm room with us because they were getting bullied and fucked with every single day because they were gay and didn't try hiding it. They loved who they were. If I were there when they were getting fucked with, I would have shut shit down.

They don't bother anyone and they keep it real. They don't look towards the boys here because they know how they can be and shit. I just thought the whole thing was sad because they couldn't live in the dorm they paid good money for because of the childish ass guys there.

"Damn girl. Shut the shit up." Joey rolled his eyes. "It wasn't even that funny. The whole damn UCLA can hear your ugly ass laugh."

I continued laughing while shaking my head and slapping the table.

"Ewwwwww." Joey laughed. "Stop; people are looking."

"Okay, I'm done. Promise." I said as I stopped laughing. "But tell me what's going on with you guys."

"Well, we went to talk to the manager of the boy's dorm; not to move back in, calm down. But we went there to put in a complaint and the basketball team are all in there taking a picture and we, you know, waited until the picture was done to walk by and when they were done we walked by and this dude is like, 'Hello hill Billy the gay boys' and I'm shocked at this point and everyone is laughing at us right now."

"No fucking way." I said shaking my head.

"Yes bitch and you know Joey, he was snapping. This was no bitch coming out of him, bitch." Shawn laughed. "He was a straight nigga. He had his deep voice and shit and even after he went down the line flamin' all of them they still thought it was so funny."

"Like, what the fuck." I said scrunching my face up. "Did y'all even get the chance to make the complaint?"

Joey began laughing and I eyed him weirdly.

Shawn began praising the lord and I couldn't help but laugh.

"No bitch, this nigga slash bitch, Joey must've said to the cutest nigga in the crowd-."

"Chris?" I asked.

Chris was on the basketball team and I know he would never diss Joey and Shawn. They were real cool with each other and respected each other and he never mentioned their sexuality even when he noticed they were gay. But you won't ever catch him walking around without a shirt or anything around Joey and Shawn.
