Chris

I stared at India as she sobbed into her arms. I tried comforting her but she snatched away and told me just to let her cry it out. She looked so hurt and now I understood, everything made sense now.

When she was telling me her story it was hard for me, mainly because I was getting mad. How could he even do that to someone like India. Even tho she had a shell over her now, imagine how she was as a freshmen. She was innocent and I bet she was the sweetest girl ever.

India set up when she was done crying and she took a deep breath before turning towards me. She looked at me and tried cracking a smile but that didn't work, she started crying again and this time I pulled her into my arms and held her tight.

"India, I'm sorry. For what he did and for what I did. I will never hurt you like he hurt you." I said kissing her head. I rubbed her hair down before kissing her head again. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry India."

India nodded her head and grabbed a fist full of my shirt and pulled me closer. I pulled her onto my lap before kissing all over her face and holding her tight again. I started rocking her in my arms and humming to her. It was like she was my child. I don't understand how someone could do that. I don't think I could do that to anyone. Not even to the dirtiest hoe out here; I still couldn't do that.

I looked down at India and her eyes were closed and light snores were coming out her mouth. I smiled before chuckling at her.

"Can't believe she fell asleep on me." I spoke lowly before picking up her gym bag and putting it over my body.

I braced myself before standing up and holding India bridal style. I stepped off the bleachers carefully and headed for the gym door. When I made it outside it was drizzling a bit. I hurried and walked to my car before it got bad.

After getting India into my car I shut the door and ran to the drivers side. I looked back at her cute sleeping face before I pulled out the schools parking lot and headed to my house.

My phone started ringing and I rushed to answer it before India woke up.

Crys Cross; flashed across the screen and I answered with a quiet hello.

"Is she okay?" Crystal asked.

"How did you know-."

"I felt it." She said and I smiled.

"Yeah, she's sleeping now. She cried for like two hours after she told me what happened. I glad she got everything out."

"She's at peace now. Now that she got to talk about it and shit she feels like she can be herself again, she can finally let it go."

"Crys." I said into the phone before looking back at India. "I'm really having strong feelings for her."

"Tell her. Not me." She said. "I have to go now. Michael is coming with food."

"Aight, bye." I said hanging up my phone and glancing back at India before I continued to drive.

I was sitting down in the kitchen as my mom was cooking food for me. India was in my bedroom sleeping peacefully and I couldn't be more happy she was feeling better.

"How is she?" My mom asked sliding my plate of food over to me.

"She's good." I said. "Amen."

"Boy!" My mom said hitting my arm laughing. "That's good. I wonder how long she's going to be sleep."

"All that crying she's been doing, I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't sleep all through the night."
