Closing The Case

6/25 After School

As Teddie's shadow shows itself all we can do is look at how big and creepy it is.

Shadow Teddie: I am a shadow... the true self... I shall give you the "truth" that you claim to hold so dear... The inescapable fact of your death here.

For some reason hearing the word "death" reminded me of the monster I saw in my dream the other night. Then the image of a car crash, the boy with blue hair and the girl with auburn hair, the names Minato and Minako, and finally the words Big Bro and Big Sis echo in my mind. What does all of it mean?

Everything starts to get sucked into the empty gap in the shadow's face like a vacuum cleaner. Teddie got sucked in while the rest of us grabbed onto something. Some of the debris that was being sucked in was about to hit Rise and I and we ducked to avoid being hit by it.

Rise: Y,N.

Y,N: Yeah.

Rise: Use Nero to hold Himiko down so she doesn't get pulled in.

Y,N: Himiko?

Rise: She's my persona.

Y,N: Right. Nero!

Nero gets up and comes over to me and Rise. A tarot card appears and floats down to Rise.

Rise: Persona!

The card shatters and her persona, Himiko, appears behind us. Nero wraps his left arm around her waist and stabs his sword into the ground to prevent them from being sucked in. Himiko emits some kind of green light and I guess that's how it's scanning the shadow.

Rise: There's something in there besides Teddie.

Y,N: Any idea what it is?

Rise: It's no use. The fogs keeping me from analyzing it.

Y,N: Are there any weak spots?

Rise: Give me a second... Found it! It's just below it's chest.

Y,N: Then that's where I'm aiming. Go for it, Nero!

Nero took his sword out of the ground and flew towards the shadow. Once he got close enough he stabs the shadow just below it's chest. The shadow starts to crumble apart and our personas disappear.

Kanji: It stopped...

The real Teddie again. We rush up to him to see if he's okay.

Yosuke: Teddie, are you okay?

Teddie stands up.

Teddie: Wh-what the heck!? What happened to my bear-tiful fur!?

Y,N: Yep, that's Teddie.

Kanji: At least he's not about to keel over.

Chie: I never thought that Teddie was suppressing a part of his heart, too.

Teddie looks at his shadow.

Teddie: I don't know who I am. I had a feeling that there might not be any answers. But I'm still here! I'm still alive!

Rise: And I'm with you. Let's search for our answers together.

Y,N: You're not alone, Teddie.

Teddie: Sensei!

Yosuke: Sure, whatever! We'll help out with your hunt for answers.

The others nodded in agreement.

Teddie: G-Guys! I'm such a lucky bear!

Teddie's shadow started to glow and it changed into his persona. It's name is Kintoki-Douji. It turns into a tarot card and floats down to Teddie before disappearing.
