Chapter 11

Lindsey's P.O.V.

         When I wake up, I check my phone and see it's 8:30. I check my messages and see another from Jayden.
Hey, it's me again, I'm so sorry for everything. Do you remember that diner by my house we used to go to? Lindsey, please meet me there. I want to get back together. I hurt you and it wasn't right. I'll be there at 10:00 am.x

      

I'm going to meet him, maybe getting back together will fix all of this. Who knows. I tiredly go to the bathroom and take out my hair, and let it out staring at my crazy morning hair. After going to the bathroom I plug in my straightener and start to wash my face. After doing my hair and makeup and all that jazz I pick out some black shorts and a tank top I go down stairs suprised to not see sadie awake yet. 

         

I check the time and see it's 9:30 I should probably leave now. I run up the stairs and into sadies room jumping on her bed. She groans and hides back under the blanket. "Sadie get your ass out of bed, I'm going to go out to breakfast." She huffs and comes out from under the blanket. "Okay okay, I'll get up." I plant a smacking kiss on her cheek and grab my toms from my room and sadies keys. "Bye! I'll be back soon!" I don't wait for a response as I get into her car.

Jayden's P.O.V

I stare blankly at the dark coffee in front of me and sigh glancing up at the clock on the left seeing it's 10:12. What was I thinking? She's not going to give me another chance. I'm such an idiot. The waitor comes by the table again. "Sir, if you aren't going to order anything besides coffee I may as well just give you the check." he says impatiently. "Oh no I'm waiting for someone give me ten more minutes, I promise." He sighs and walks away.

I take a sip of my coffee not bothering to look up my I hear the bell on the door go off, signaling someone had entered the diner. I'm startled when a blond slides into the other side of the booth and stares at me. "Hi." she says quietly. "He-Hey. How are you?" I ask looking into those blue eyes I missed so much. "I'm good, hungry, but good." "That's great, and aren't you always hungry?" I smile at her and I can't help the butterflies that appear when I see her mouth twitch up in a half smile. I missed having that effect on her.

Once the waiter came back again, we proceeded to order. Lindsey, being Lindsey, ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and a strawberry lemonade. Strange how I remembered that. She hasn't changed at all. I get an omelette with hashbrowns on the side.

"Hows sadie doing?" I ask after the waiter had left. "She's doing really good actually she sent in an application to work at Starbucks." Most of our conversation goes on with simple things like 'how are your parents?' or 'how has life been treating you?' Not in an awkward way, just the simple talk that we haven't had in forever.

When the waiter arrives with out food, I swear that Lindsey's  we're going to pop out of her head. She immediately starts eating as soon as the waiter sets her plate down and I stare at her laughing. She's the same girl I fell in love with 4 years ago when we were in junior high. She places her burger back on the plate and blushes intensely. "So-Sorry haha" she laughs and takes a drink of her lemonade. "You're adorable."

She looks me in the eyes for the longest time since we started talking this morning and smiles. I smile back and start eating my omelet.

After were finally done eating Lindsey reaches into her pocket for her wallet. "Wow wow no way I invited you and the guy always pays on the first date." I say as I wink at her. She laughs and says " Well who said this was a date?" she smirks. I shake my head and place the money down. I really never realized how much I missed all of this. Making her smile, laugh and just talking with her. I feel like the happiest man alive.

Walking out of the diner I open the door for her, and she laughs thanking me silently. I walk with her over to Sadie's car and stop when she goes to open the door. "Lindsey?" she turns around "Yeah?" I glance around nervously and ask, stuttering like an idiot. " Umm Can I-uh try something?" she looks at me questioningly and I bring my hands to her cheeks and gently place my lips on her parted ones. She freezes at first but I gently nudge my lips on hers and she slowly kisses me back after a second. I pull her closer to me without breaking the kiss and caressing her cheek with my thumbs. I pull away slightly keeping my forehead on hers and she hums at me. I open my eyes and see the most beautiful smile in the whole world. I'm on top of the world.
