Chapter 3
Ryan was sitting on his bed in his room trying to think of ways to get Jen to forgive him, when there was a knock on his door.
“Jen?” He asked hopefully.
The door opened.
It was Jason; “No sorry, it’s just me.”
“Come in old friend.” Ryan said with a smile, Jason came in and sat on the chair facing the bed, “She hates me.” Ryan said burring his face in his hands.
“Yes, she has made that quite clear.”
“What am I going to do, she doesn’t want to talk to me, much less accept my apologies.”
“Well, as your royal adviser I have to advise you to forget about her and focus on finding your Queen, but as a friend to both you and Jennsen, my advice is to get her something very special and hard to find.”
“That makes sense, but like I know Jen she will tell me that her forgiveness can’t be bought.”
“If that happens you go on your knees and start begging.”
“Well you know what they say; desperate times calls for desperate measures.”
“Now think hard, what can you get her that’s really special and hard to find?”
He thought about it for a moment and then it hit him; “I think I know the perfect thing to give her.”
“Is it expensive?”
“It’s priceless.”
“Then it will do.”
“If you would excuse me, I have to go and do some research on its location.”
“Of course.”Jason left the room and Ryan shortly followed.
Ryan went straight to the royal library and buried himself in books. He knew exactly what he was looking for, just not where he must look, the item was a rare artifact that was mentioned in a famous faerie legend and there were many books concerning it, so he figured if he went through all of them and put all together the information regarding the location, he could narrow down where it is.
Of course there was no confirmation that the artifact even exists, but Jen was worth a million times more than the trouble.
He spent the rest of the night and most of the morning looking through every book; fortunately it was a Saturday so he didn’t have to worry about school.
After he had all the information on the location he had to look through countless maps to find a match.
By noon he finally had everything he needed; the artifact was in a claw shaped cave, conveniently located just a couple of miles away from the peer on the beach that was just a block away from the Summer Court’s dwelling.

Jennsen was peacefully walking on the beach, enjoying the warm summer breeze, when she saw Ryan standing on the peer and he was taking his shirt off.
She planned on ignoring it and passing him, but curiosity got the better of her and she approached him; “What on earth are you doing?”
He turned to her and smiled; “Oh, just going for a swim.” He replied casually.
“You have a beautiful lake in the Summer Garden, why would you want to swim here in the polluted ocean?”
“I’m looking for something.”
“Where?”
“In that cave right over there.” He pointed towards a claw shaped cave far in the horizon.
